i eat more. when tests come up in school, i start eating junk right and left. now that i'm on spring break, my diet has improved tremendously.

I think stress do make you eat more food, because you have so much on more on your mind ,and you can't do nothing but eat are don't say anything.

Sweet stuff as I gave up smoking 10 months ago and used to have smoke when really stressed now it sadly replaced with choccy! ( now need sugar patches ) lol

Depends on the stress. If hubby and I aren't getting along, I don't want to eat at all. If I'm concerned about something else, I tend to eat whatever I can lay my hands on. Of course, once I realize I'm stressing, I try to do some exercise, so that I don't punish myself with food. <*)))><

Stress undoubtedly makes you eat more food. Its part of the fight or flight survival thing. When you are under stress your body operates in exactly the same way as if you are in a dangerous situation. Once the danger has passed, your system is flooded with Cortisol. the role of cortisol is to make you eat so that your body can recover and replenish nutrient stores once you are out of danger. If you are stressed all the time (or drinlking loads of caffeine all the time) your system will be constantly flooded with cortisol and you are likely to get fat.
