Does drinking water with lemon juice make you lose weight?
...

It is very low cal. Water has 0 calories and lemon is very low. If you are replacing it with non diet soda then sure! That would mean you are taking in less calories. |

this is something that they believe in china actually b/c it stimulates your body and things like that they try drinking it in there water or they have this special lemon stuff that is very expensive and you put a few drops in you bath water and soak in it in truth though it doesn't actually work it would be better to keep on drinking water though and not things like soda or juices and stuff like b/c of how much sugar and carbs they have you should try going on a diet or an exercise plan if you are trying to loose weight it is easier to do that than be upset on why lemon water is not making you loose weight |

well, drinking water with lemon juice definately has cleansing properties and can curb your appetite. However this alone wont make you lose weight. Although there is a fasting diet that you can do called a master cleanse which alot of celebrities do to lose weight before they do big roles. Beyonce did this for dreamgirls. You basically mix Water, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and lemons. Go to mastercleansesecrets.com for more information |

No it doesn't make you lose weight, you do that for yourself, it actually helps detox you (ya know, clean you inside out and Cranberry juice is also another good detox drink). It's a good thing. |

I've heard from many doctors that water with lemon juice is recommended for proper digestion. In one of the articles i found on the web it says that "Lemon juice, when taken regularly in the morning, acts as a tonic to the liver and stimulates it to produce bile making it ready to digest the day's food." When food is properly digested you feel better and have more energy, and having more energy means burning more calories. And i also heard that if you drink lemon juice water with your meal it actually helps your stomach to break down the foods that are hard to digest, like all those bad carbs, sugars and fats! So i say yes it helps lose weight. P.S.: I'm on the "lemon juice diet" myself. I only do it for two weeks every two months. In 6 months i've lost 18 pounds and i can eat pretty much anything i want! |

Yes it can, it flushes out your kidneys for one. Although you have to do more than just drink water with lemon. Oh, by the way that has to be a fresh lemon not one from a bottle. Make sure you have a well organized planned out diet. You can do a google search on it to find the right one for you. I found one all ready and have put a review of it on my website. It is there to save you time and energy. Leah www.takeactionnews.com |

Every diet Plan I have ever tried says to drink at least eight 12oz. glasses of water a day. One doctor I went to said that when you didn't drink enough water your body would hold on to what you did drink and store it instead of releasing it. I know when I drink enough water, I do lose weight. Lemon is supposed to be a natural diarectic. From my experience, the lemon doesn't make a difference. But it does make the water have a little taste. |

Lemon is a natural diaretic - it helps flush the water through your system. Drinking lots of water - especially with lemon - helps you feel more "full" - thus, you will eat less calories and lose more weight. |

Don't think so - Just have a healthy diet and good amounts of excercise, and drink lots of plain water and you should lose weight. Adding lemon juice to water would just add calories I'd think! |

Drinking water helps with Cravings and is much better for you than soda, so in reality yes, but be careful beacuse too much ofthe lemon juice can start to eat at your teeth. Good Luck |

drinking water always is helpful as it fills you up, stimulates metabolism and hydrates you assisting in the body purifying itself- too much lemon can harm your teeth and stomach lining normal water intake should be 1.5 oz per pound - most don't drink enough water |

I don't know about with the lemon. I'm sure it does. but just plain water helps loose weight because it has no calories so it just burns more calories in you body when its digesting and stuff..a long with celary. it does the same. :) |

The purpose of the lemon is to: 1. provide a natural strengthening agent to the liver enzymes when they are too dilute. 2. The liver can make more enzymes out of fresh lemon juice than any other food element. 3. The lemon helps fix oxygen and calciums in the liver because it regulates blood carbohydrate levels which affect the blood oxygen levels.” Hmmmm lose weight - couldn't find that specifically but all info points to massive benefits!!! |

No. but it will keep you hydrated and will help you cut back your hunger. Sometimes we mistake the feeling of thirst with hunger and we end.... that's why doctors tell you to drink a glass of water and if 20 minutes later you are still hungry then you were hungry. I personally add lemon for the taste, I hate plain water. |

No, but it will help you to feel less bloated and is easier on the tongue than vinegar. |

NO. It just makes the water taste good, and add a bit of vitamin C to it. If you heard it helps you loose weight you probably misunderstood. It is used like that to help people who don't like water to drink it instead of soda/pop, which helps them loose weight because they are not drinking all of those calories. Cheers! |

It's the water. The lemon juice is just to give it some taste if you like. However, it's quite easy to get hooked on plain water -- it's the perfect beverage, and it's what your body wants. So drink a lot of water throughout the day. That old "8 glasses a day" advice has been largely discredited as being too little. I drink at least 3 liters a day -- every 30 minutes I take about 20 swallows. I consider it to be vital to my weight loss -- over 100 pounds. |

No, but it does flush the system and help you retain less water and salt. You should be drinking at least 8 12oz glasses of water a day and cut back on salt intake. A lot of times when you feel hungry, you actually need water. |

Not automatically. Lemon juice helps you digest. It can also add some flavor to water, and water fills you up, keeping food cravings at bay. But it doesn't 'burn' calories or fat. By the way -- there are studies showing that grapefruit may indeed suppress appetite and/or burn fat, but the relevant chemicals there are exclusive to grapefruit and not in other citruses. |

I am not sure it would make any difference if you merely added it to your diet, but as part of a fast or cleansing it works well. Even as a substitute for a snack or light meal would give benefit. :) |

If you do it instead of eating, yes. Otherwise no. |
