Run run run, prepare for a marathon. Start off at 1/2 mile then work your way up to 6 miles daily and your stomach will shrink. It will be hard. Also add in a little jump rope.

Debrock16 pretty much gave you the dietary tools you need. Crunches, sit-ups, and leg raises will be good enough exercises along with cardio. Cardio is probably the most important form of exercise, you have a six pack right now but it is covered up by a little baby fat. Don't put a time frame on it, just take it one day at a time. GOOD LUCK

Lots of cardio. Try running. You need to drop a few pounds for your abs to show. Then do lots of crunches. For the lower abs lay on your back and put your feet together then lift your legs with your feet together, and slowly lower them if this seems easy ad ankle weights. you should use the highest weight you can do to gain bulk (big abs)

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

six weeks! I dont believe it can be done in six but i will try to help. I am 16 and a fullback/linebacker on varsity football, and i have done all sorts of things including guinea pigging for new workouts and machines. Heres how you do it.

1.eat smart. dont cut back on what you eat but make better choices. lots of fruit and vegetables. dont cut carbs out, but maybe try to reduce them a little bit.

2.Drink LOTS of water.

3.work. sittups, crunches and ab wheel all work great. Also, hit the gym. alot. lifting weights is the best way to tone. Have someone there show you what lifts to do and help you come up with a workout plan. if your workout isn't planned, your time is being wasted.

4.RUN!

that's what i have found works. if you want to be well toned you are going to have to work hard. remember there is no easy road to any place worth going. email me if you need more help. i can also point you towards some good books.

At your height and weight, you are heavier than average for your height and age, but still at a healthy weight. If you’re not exercising regularly, then your body may not have much muscle, and any extra weight is showing up as a little tummy fat.

In that case, there are two ways to give yourself a healthier body. 1) Work up to exercising 4-5 times a week, for 30 minutes. Walking, biking, swimming are all great, and cheap! If you aren’t active to start out, then that will start building some muscle, which helps burn calories 24 hours a day.

2) Keep a food diary. When you start, don't worry about counting fat or calories, just notice how much and what you are eating. Start learning what foods are good and bad.

Just seeing it written down can be a surprise - you don't always notice how much you really eat when you eat it, but you sure notice when your stomach sticks out over your jeans. Watching what you eat helps you stay focused and eat healthier. If you are gaining weight or not seeing results after a month, start adding up every calorie, to find the best way for you to cut back your eating.

Remember - girls aren't really designed to have a six-pack. You need to really eat and work out like a trained athlete for a long time to build muscle. But in the meantime, your jeans will fit a little better, you can show off a more fit tummy in a short shirt, and you will have more energy, too!

Free: Jog and walk. Start off by walking and increase daily. Once you feel good about walking, add a minute of jogging every 5 minutes. Increase your jogging time weekly. When jogging, you lose weight from your stomach and waist first. It's fun and free. Best of luck.

Sit ups are excellent. What I do is sign on to yahoo music or AOL and select my favorite song. It steams other songs automatically after your first choice. I don't count, I do sit ups for two songs non stop, then do another exercise for another, then go back to sit up for two more songs. (counting lets me focus too much on the actual exercise, watching the videos and exercising makes the time seem to go by faster. Turn your screen saver off before starting.

Six-pack abs are the goal of people the world over. Sure, we all want six-pack abs, but how do we go about getting them?

I'm sure you've seen all those ads promising to show you how to get a great looking set of six-pack abs, complete with convincing "before and after" photos.

Well folks, it's time to get real! You may have heard this many times before, but until you really believe it deep down in your heart and soul, it's worth repeating:

No amount of strange exercises or wacky machines will magically reveal your abs. The only proven way to be able to showcase your abs is to lose the thick layer of fat covering them!

And the only way to effectively do this is by using a strict regimen of consistent dieting and cardiovascular exercise.

All those unusual leg twisting, body contorting exercises are no more effective than simple crunches at producing those coveted six-pack abs!

I have a favorite saying: "Six-pack abs are produced in the kitchen, not in the gym!"

The problem is that mentally, most people agree with that, but emotionally it simply doesn't click. I know this is true because every day I see people doing marathon abdominal workout sessions.

They do four or five different abdominal exercises. They seem to think the more they do, the more defined their abs will become.

They attempt to target the upper, lower, inner and outer, left, and right abdominal muscles. They repeat hundreds of weighted side bends trying to eliminate their love handles.

Well here's a news flash for you: It won't work! It's impossible to spot reduce! You can't simply pick and choose the areas that you would like to trim down, and do exercises that work only those areas and expect the fat to just magically melt away in those areas.

The human body doesn't work that way. The only way to trim down in certain key areas is by lowering your total body fat levels.

It's quite interesting and amusing to watch sometimes. People have the proper motivation, but they're doing the wrong things.

If they expended just half the energy maintaining a proper diet as they do performing rep after rep of those boring exercises, they would already have their six-pack abs!

Developing a great set abs is really pretty simple, and successful ab development can be boiled down to a just few simple steps:
Eat the right kinds of foods. If you have a lot of excess weight, your abs won't show no matter how much you work out. But once your body fat falls below 8% for men, or 14% for women, your abs will begin to show through.

Your meals need to consist of a high protein intake, moderate fat, and moderate levels of complex carbohydrates. You must eliminate all excess simple sugars and reduce your dairy intake.

To slim down you must consume fewer calories. You need to create a small caloric deficit. In other words, you have to use up more calories than you take in from your meals. This way, your body is forced to get the extra calories it needs from your stored fat reserves.

But keep in mind that if you reduce your calories too drastically, your body may simply decide to use muscle tissue for energy! This is why many people who trim down too fast look so soft.

Begin exercising aerobically. Do some form of cardio exercise at least 3 times a week.

It makes no difference what you do (walking, running, cycling, etc), as long as it keeps your heart rate elevated for at least half an hour. This will elevate your metabolism and cause your body to burn more calories.

Work out your abs only 2-3 times a week. The abdominals should be exercised just like any other part of your body. Training them more than two or three times a week is unnecessary, and more is not better!

I usually perform only two different abdominal exercises: crunches and reverse crunches. That's it!
Contraction is everything when working on your abs. Your abs work like an accordion, not a hinge. So when doing crunches, you must concentrate on "squeezing together" rather than moving your body upwards. This will maximize your muscle tension.

You need to concentrate on contracting your abdominal muscles as tight as you can, which causes them to fatigue faster. It doesn't matter how many reps you do. The only thing that matters is how well you contract your abdominal muscles.

If you have to do 100 crunches before your abs begin to burn, then you're just wasting your time. Your abs should be fatigued after only 20-25 reps. If they aren't, you need to add some moderate weights to your exercise and work on contracting your abs tightly for each rep.

Don't concentrate too much on "how many" reps you can do. Instead, focus on "how hard" you can contract your abdominal muscles. Again, contraction is the key to getting those six-pack abs!

Contrary to popular belief, full sit-ups or leg raises do not give your abdominals the best workout. In fact, these exercises mostly work your hip Flexor muscles a lot more than your abs!

Remember, the most effective exercises for working towards your six-pack abs involve a "scrunching" type contraction, similar to an accordion.

Recommended exercises for developing six-pack abs:
Crunches - Lie flat on the floor, knees bent, and legs about 1-2 feet apart. Alternatively, you can place your lower legs up on a chair or bench. You can either rest your hands behind your head or crossed on top of your chest.

Raise your shoulders up a few inches off of the floor, then stop when you achieve maximum ab contraction. Exhale as you curl up, then inhale as you slowly lower yourself back onto the floor.

The goal of crunches is to curl your upper torso forward, moving your ribcage toward your pelvis. Keep the rest of your body still and don't sit all the way up.

If you get a sore neck from doing these exercises, you simply need to work on relaxing your neck muscles. Keep your hands and neck well relaxed. They need not and should not be involved in performing the exercises.

Don't use a jerking motion. It should be smooth and controlled. Work for maximum contraction and feel the burn.

Two or three times a week, do four sets of 20-25 slow reps, with a hard contraction at the top of the motion. Take a 90 second rest between each set.

Reverse crunches - These are similar to leg raises, except that you're on an inclined bench and you need to keep your knees bent.

Lie on your back on the bench and grab the top of the bench. The object of this great exercise is to pull your pelvis up and towards your rib cage by contracting your abdominal muscles. Exhale as you are crunching up, and then slowly lower your legs while inhaling.

You won't be able to do too very many of these exercises, so be sure to make them count! Try to contract your abs as much as possible at the top of the movement.

As before, don't "swing" into position. The motion should be very smooth and controlled. Also, don't allow yourself to slip too far down the bench or you'll be out of the correct position.

Two or three times a week, do four sets of 15-20 reps (or as many as you can do) with a hard contraction at the top of the motion. Take a 90 second rest between each set.
That's it. Nothing "magical", just "smart" training and dieting is all that's required for getting your set of six-pack abs!

Music is the answer. Join the marching band and sing. A lot of people don't realize it but when you breathe properly to sing or play an instrument, it's the same effect as doing sit ups. Also, being in marching band gets you active. My freshman year in college, I lost a net 25 lbs. from August 14 until I went home on Halloween. The season was coming to an end so I believe I had gain a couple of pounds back but the only workout I had was marching band. Sweat pants and ankle weights help out when you're marching and dancing. Stay hydrated and consult your doctor because I'm going solely on my own experience and others I've known.

first of all no matter how much you exercise your abs you can't spot reduce an area. you can improved definition but the only way
you can lose weight around your middle is to lose weight period. If you want to try to lose weight quickly first start reducing your calories by 5-6oo cal/per day, coupled with daily exercise trying to burn 5-800 cal perday (best done with combo cardio/weight training). Also dring ALOT of water which is key to digestion and elimination. GOOD LUCK!

If you have any fat on it (even a little) you will need to do cardio. Cardio is anything that gets your heart rate up. Running, joggin, swimming. Then, do ab specific excercises.

First you must cut out almost all sweets and fatty foods. Then eat a balanced diet broken up into 4 to 5 small meals per day, spread out. Next you should get do 20 minutes of aerobicexercise daily slowly building this up to 45 minutes of areobic exercise per day. Next you should be doing daily abdominal exercises such as situps, kneeins and crunches to hit you abs from 3 different angles. If you are able to join a gym for the summer then any muscle mass that you are able to gain will burn significant calories. And in the gym you will be doing light weights with high reps to tone you muscles. And watch out by the end of summer!!!! You will look great!!!!!

If you want to do this it is for life so you need to totally change your way of eating and exercising. This is not a diet rather than a healthy eating plan for life. So no more talking diet cause it means time limit. Stop making some major mistakes wake up earlier and get active earlier your metabolism is sluggish and needs to be woken up this is half your problem.

Here are the golden rules:
Initially cut down to 1200 calories.
Exercise 6 times per week for 1 hours a day. Do three weight sessions and three cardio sessions. No gym involved.
Don't eat carbs after 4pm, never eat carbs within 2 hours of exercise or within 1 hour of exercise.
Drink 3 litres of water per day. You can have a Green Tea at the end of the day.
Limit your fruit in take to 2 pieces per day.
Never eat dinner after 6pm.
Adopt of low GI eating plan this is sustainable for life!
Make low fat dairy choices

Follow this menu plan as a suggestion:
Breakfast 7am - 1 cup hot water w lemon
20 minutes later have a bowel of oats w water (no honey) OR
fruit salad w low GI Soy yogurt
Snack 10am - pear or apple (both low GI)
Lunch 12.30pm - multigrain sandwich w 50g tuna & salad (no butter)
Snack 3pm - low GI yogurt OR skim berry smoothie (no honey or banana) plenty of ice, 1/2 cup skim milk & 1/4 cup yogurt
Dinner 5.30pm - 120g grilled lean meat/fish/prawns/tofu patties (not fried) w spinach salad & mixed vegies (no whites, carbs) OR 3 egg white/Soy omlette with ham, cheese and tomato
Snack - 1 scoop of low cal low fat ice cream (if hungry)

Exercise is must be intense. Refer to www.bodybuilding.com for your weights routine. Never do weights two consecutive days have a cardio day in between.

Cardio needs to include running, go hard up stair wells and cycling. You get the most benefits from exercise when your body is totally fatigued and this is when you see changes.

To maintain you can increase calories to 1500 and reduce exercise sessions to 3-4 times per week. If weight creeps up again due to holiday period etc.. go back to 1200 cal and 6 sessions again.

Good luck it worked for me it can work for anyone.
