Do you people think i'm fat?

I lift weights 30-1hour a day and my food intake besides my compulsion with fatty foods with my snacks for the past couple of days involves something like this...

Breakfast- Cereal(Wheaties),Yogert,Water
Snack-- Grapes, 100 cal. teddy grams,water
Lunch-- 1 egg whites sandwhich(wheat bread), corn, chocolate milk(ovaltine),water
Snack--- blueberries,water, 1special k bar(they are good!)
Dinner-- 1 hamburger(wheat), chocolate milk(ovaltine), carrots
Snack- Cereal(wheaties),yogert and water.




ALSO IF YOU CAN ANSWER THIS ALSO I WOULD GLADLY APPRECIATE IT:
I have no idea why though but I've been craving sweets lately. Like i'll take a small bite of peanut butter and end up takeing another 5spoonfulls. same thing for the chocolate pudding pie my mom made. What's going on with me?

Please stop it, I think you may be developing a eating disorder. What you're eating is fine, when I was 16 I couldn't quite eating. You're not fat because you eat a lot. You're mentally affecting yourself by this.

Without a photo of you it is hard to tell what you actually look like. Let me ask you this, "how do YOU feel you look?" What you should really go by is how you fit into your clothes.

22% body fat is pretty high for someone your age but how was that measured? If you are using a scale that guages bodyfat percentage it is most likely inaccurate at best. Try calling your local gym and asking them to do a body fat measurement with calipers where they pinch the skin in designated areas to determine a more accurate reading. It may turn out you're not really "fat" at all.

Are you in any sports at school? If you're concerned about weight maintenence then try involving yourself in team sports where you will be required to establish a healthy training regimen. Studies have shown that the younger one begins to include exercise as part of their daily life, the more likely that exercise will continue into adulthood.

Another thing to look at is if you are comparing yourself to what you see in fashion magazines. I have a 14 year old daughter who thinks she's fat and that's only because she sees what someone in Hollywood finds pretty or appealing. You young women need to become comfortable in your own skin and confident with the unique persons you are. Don't let anyone tell you that you are fat just because you don't fit into the size 2 some waif model is wearing. Beauty is something that shines from within not attained by deprivation!

As for the craving of sweets, try stepping up your consumption of protein in your diet. When one lacks protein (and it appears you are consuming mostly carbs) the body will crave sugar. Protein also satisfies longer and stays in your stomach longer while it digests. The water consumption is good. If the craving persists, ask your parents to make an appointment with your physician as it may be something more serious that needs attention. The sooner you find out what it is, for instance, low blood sugar, then you can address it and move foreward healthier.

Your weight sounds fine for your height. How sure are you on the body fat %? I just started at a gym and my trainer told me 10-20% was healthy ... but that may have been for males. SO if that number is true, you're certainly not 'fat' but might be healthier if you lost some weight.

That said, the diet you describe and exercise level sound fine (or at least roughly fine). So my guess is if you are at all overweight, its not from that diet, its from the cheating (the chocolate pudding pie, etc).

If you crave sweet stuff, try fruit first. If you're going to have a bit of pie or something as a treat, make sure you're pretty much full first, then just have a measured portion. If you want to pound down a lot of sweet stuff, as I said, eat a pile of fruit.

I just want to reiterate though, that body fat % sounds high given your height and weight. For it to be true, you'd have to have very light bone/muscle structure for your height, which is possible. But if you have a 'normal' frame, then I don't believe that body fat %.

For girls, once you reack 5 foot, you should way 100lbs. Every inch after that is another 5lbs. At 5 ft 4.5 inches, you should weigh about 122 lbs. You are NOT fat. In fact, you are underweight.
As for craving sweets, your body stores in it's memory where it can get certain vitamens and minerals when you eat. You must be missing some stuff so your body is making you crave all those sweets. Eat some candy and relax. YOU ARE NOT FAT!!!

i don't think ur fat, if ur only 113 pounds and ur 5'4, then ur probably average, ur eating habits are probably canceled out by ur exercising fer all i know, but ur sure as hell not fat

Seek help- counseling help! You're only going to get worse- if you can't love yourself just the way you are!

And NO you're not fat! And you're still very young- you have your whole life to worry about weight issues- be a kid now! Enjoy the occs. snack of peanut butter (which is a good food anyways).

No, you're not fat - that sounds like a good height /weight ratio. Looking at your typical diet, you could add lots more veggies & fruits without worrying about weight gain (you don't need to anyway!) and that might help avoid the sugary cravings. Cravings happen to everyone! Could be hormone related?

You need to not obsess about your weight.. your 16, As long as you don't end up like 200+ lbs. I wouldn't worry. As long as your active eat anything you want.

Do you want to look like Nicole Richie?? and if you do think about this the worlds largest turkey weighed in at 89lbs.. Nicole Richie weighs (currently) 86lbs. Sad isn't it???

Compared to other girls your height and age, you weigh less than 69% of them. So your weight is lower than average. Your body fat is just a little over the ideal - most athletes have just a little less body fat (or, more realistically, a higher muscle mass).

You lift weights regularly, so you are probably thin, and have some muscle tone. I would doubt that you are fat.

I didn't add up the calories and fat in what you are eating here, but you're body is growing, and your weightlifting is building muscle tissue, and increasing toning. So your body may be craving energy sometimes. The key is to listen to your body, and know the reason why you are craving certain foods.

Having a bad day, and feeling better after eating a whole chocolate pudding pie may not change your body in one day, but as you get older, your body won't be able to burn off all that extra energy anymore, and your body will store that extra energy on your legs, hips, and tummy.

But if your cravings aren't happening too often, and you are exercising regularly, I wouldn't worry too much. It's part of the growing process.

No u are not fat...if you really want to cut back on the sugar intake and eat more fruit. Make sure you have more protein and more veggies. Instead of one egg white have 2 or 3. Drink alot of water.
Do 20-30 minutes of cardio 3 times a week and lift 2 times a week. Get 7-8 hours of sleep and you'll be fine.

your diet is good and probably wouldn't hurt to put some cheeze on your hamburger...but your diet is really healthy way better than what i eat...

the whole craving things issue is you need what the food contains...like my mom gets cravings for milk and she will like drink a whole gallon all by herself in maybe 5 days...she needs the Calcium in the milk...

so when you crave something its not really a craving but your body saying ... feed me this stuff b!tch...lol...

No! The average weight for a 5'4" person is115 lbs at the least and at the most 130 lbs. You are fine. If you gain over 130 lbs, then you need to worry.
I crave sweets around the time I pms. That could be your problem, too.

nope u arent fat. u actually have a very good regime going on with ur diet and workout. u didnt list cardio tho (might want to add that in as warm up and cool down ... walking on treadmill for 10 mins before and after weights) and u are craving sweets bc u eat few of them. its natural. i have a similar diet regime like u and crave sweets (esp during that time) anyway, nothing to worry about tho...just stay focused and try not to overindulge..which u arent with the sweets.

honestly your not fat..as for the sweets craving..there is no miracle drugs its all in your mind every time you crave sugar brush your teeth and drink water usually when you feel like eating sugar your body is looking for the water that you bring from your mouth so alot of the times its really not sugar ,,your body needs water so drink also when you crave, your food gets stuck between your teeth and when time passes it starts to taste the taste of food and then you start to crave sugar and it helps to do this any way every time you pick up sugar think of the danger you put your body through,,,

You are not fat you are underweight and need to quit worrying about it. I am overweight I've had 5 kids and now I have a bad back and knee and can't do much exercise I don't eat much of anything and I can't loose anything you should feel lucky and blessed to weigh so little. I'm 5'4" and I weigh 216lbs. I've tried everything but surgery to loose weight which I'm considering now but I'm not sure how much it will help since I hardly eat anything already. I'm not exaggerating it's awful when your own kid asks you why you weigh so much when you never eat. Sometimes people have a bad metabolism they have run all kinds of tests on me and that's the only thing they can come up with so be VERY thankful you are the size you are and not my size.

You are far from fat. If anything you need to watch that you are taking in enough calories and nutrition to meet your body's needs. Oftenwhen you have a craving it is because your body is lacking some essential nutrient. Most women would love to be your weight. I am 5feet 6inches and weigh about 120lbs and am told constantly how skinny I am. I worry about my weight though and struggle with maintaining good nutritional intake.

You are not fat. You might be a little under weight, but you seem to eat healthy and take care of yourself. As to the sweets question, they are filled with carbs, the more carbs you eat, the more you crave. Last January I had to cut out sodium and caffeine. I ate only fresh fruits and veggies. The first time I had any type of sweets after about 2 months of eating like that, I got sick as a dog. So, I don't eat sweets now. But, when I did, I'd have one, then I'd want another, then another. Best bet is to avoid the first one. I don't consider peanut butter to be a sweet food though, it's high protein and if I eat more than just a spoonful I don't feel guilty about it. You shouldn't either. You are doing fine, again, you eat healthy, work out and exercise and you are in good shape. Don't be so hard on yourself.
