yeah it works. duh, but I dont do it.
it works if you don't eat before you sleep cuz when you sleep you can't burn it off as you can when you're awake.

Yup. The body doesn't burn as many calories when it is sedentary. Try to eat when you are active.

what i heard from people around me is "Dont eat after 6pm" but it is true. because when you eat late, you tend not to work out or do any movements, so the food just sit there, and when you go to bed it turns to fat and what not, thats why if you want to be more thin then try not to eat after 6 or 7, drink water :D

I don't know if it works. However, I eat whenever I'm hungry! If I'm hungry just before I go to bed or am in bed I'll get something to eat. And I'm skinny to average size.

No...when the body is hungry feed it.
All things in moderation....if you are hungry at night, eat a small snack.
Eat only until you are satisfied. Eat slow.....SAVOR every bite. It takes 20 minutes for the stomach to tell the brain you are no longer hungry....that is why one should eat slow.
I am about to have a snack because I am hungry. I am not about to starve my body and I remain at a steady, healthy weight.

if you do not eat before you go to sleep you will lose more weight because when your asleep you dont burn off fat cuz your not active enough your body is in a... whats the word... trance... and if its in a trance its not working at full power so yeah eat when your not in a trance, so that means that if you go to bed at 12 then dont eat before 9 usually give yourself around 3 hours unlesss you plan on going jogging right after you eat o_O hope that helps... and also one last thing, you shouldnt try to lose weight unless its for major health reasons because everyone is fine the way they are and losing unnessicary weight to be lost is dumb its a waste of time... and also taking away fat makes it so you cant store as much and we all know what happens if you cant store energy...zzzs during a test... :o

You might lose weight if this would be a major change to your current eating habits. If you habitually eat a lot late at night, then ceasing doing so may cause you to lose some weight.
They say eating late is a bad idea because people are typically less physically active at night and are therefore less likely to "work off" any calories they take in during that time. If you eat right before going to sleep, your body can't use that food as fuel, since you aren't doing anything that requires energy, and the food is more likely to be stored as fat.

it works to help people control how much they eat all day, but you can eat after 7 as long as you watch what and how much your eating all day. and stay up for least an hour.

I was on a diet after having a baby and didn't eat after 8PM. It does work, but you have to be dieting the rest of the day too and not cheating.

For the most part, yes. Your body doesn't need the extra calories before it rests for several hours. But the other half of the equation is that you MUST eat breakfast to stoke up your metabolism in the morning and keep it running high all day by eating several small, healthy meals.

that is true if you go to bead around 9:00pm or 9:30pm, the rule is that you don't have a big meal 2 hrs before hitting bed. But you can have a light snack, which actually improves you're sleep

No, it's completely a myth.
Your body doesn't care when you consume the calories, just how many you consume total.
As long as you aren't eating more calories than your body uses, you will not gain weight. If you are eating in order to lose weight, you would be eating enough calories to function, and exercising off FAT, not excess calories.
The only reason not to eat at night, is because people are more likely to make poor food choices at night and eat more. Also at night you are more likely to be eating out of boredom, or along with a movie, calories you don't need.

Yep. I know two people who did this all their lives and they were perpetually thin. I, however am halfway through a bag of microwave popcorn at 9PM and blow it everytime I even think of it as an option. Maybe tomorrow.

i have personally tried this and no it did not work. what did though was watching not what i eat but how much i eat. also make sure that when you eat stay up for at least an hour or two to make sure the process of digestion has started. I learned this from my nursing class. so just try watching how much you eat and staying up after you eat. oh and also dont eat right after or right before major exercising.

well, 7 is the evening, and most people go to sleep around that time. I think if you eat after 7, you will most likely not do any vigorous exercising and the fat from the food with stay with you for the night. I'm just using the little logic I have, but I wouldn't starve yourself, because eating the right foods is the best way to diet. You can eat the foods you ate before your diet, just less of it.

No. For my goals I generally try not to eat within an hour of prolonged sleep. If you do not go to bed until 1 AM, what good is setting a 7 PM deadline?
Eat small meals every 2-3 hours to increase metabolism levels.
If you are to eat before bed (which I almost recommend for fat loss), drink a low carb protein shake or eat some lean meat. You should be aiming for protein, not carbs nor fat before bed.
