At 5'3", 165 is enormously fat. 235 at 5'10" is less so.

Female: Yes, maybe not fat but definately overweight. I'm 5'4" and the heaviest I've ever been was 152lbs, and I was pregnant.
Male: Depends, muscle weighs more than fat. But He is probably a little overwright since my ex was about that tall and at his heaviest he was 209lbs.

Don't know about the male. But by the charts, the female is definitely overweight. She should be no more than about 140 pounds.

Well, for the female-overweight...but depends on body structure as to how the female would carry the weight. I am 5'4 and I weigh 135 and I look fat. I have fat pockets on the upper part of my tighs under the buttocks and it looks awful. I look pregnant because of belly fat. After my hysterectomy, I expected to have some weight gain...but this winter I have not gotten enough exercise as I do during the summer months. Plus, I sit alot in front of the computer and that's a sure pound-adder! The male is probably just over weight 35 pounds...I would recommend exercising and watching those calories now before the weigh becomes a problem. I need to take that advice myself...

I wouldn't say "fat" because like someone else said we don't know the body fat percentage or body structure or muscle mass. So in that regard, it would be fair to say the individuals (well I payed attention to the female specs mostly) are overweight. Being a little "overweight" doesn't mean you're necessarily "fat" or unhealthy, it just means the number falls out of the range of the norm. That is, the ideal numbers for most people, but numbers don't guarantee a thing.

You should not listen to opinions of people who can't see you, go to the cdc website for bmi calculation and find the truth for yourself.
It also depends how much muscle mass you each have, and how much bone mass.

Well its not muscle. A male 5'10" can maybe get to 217-220 solid muscle, but thats about it.
So unless yall are body builders, yall are fat. Do you have rolls even when you stand up? Thats the first major sign of being fat. Does your belly hang over your underwear wasitband? If so then you are fat.

Sadly enough, it would probably be classified as "overweight", but no, I personally would not say "fat".

For the female description... yes....unfortunately
For the guy - it depends on his muscle build. 235 could be normal if he has lots of muscle, if not than yes he too is overweight.

It really depends on the person, the build, how much muscle etc... For all we know you may both be body builders. If you are both out of shape and have more fat than muscle I will say yes you are probably on the chubby side, but if both of you are healthy and fit, than it depends. It is alot better to go off your body fat % than it is just to go off your weight.

Actually, disregard the person below but for a male that is not bad at all. For his height and age, he is between the weight where men his age should be. As for the female, it is exactly the opposite. Being 5'3 and age 30, the amount of pounds that this female obtains is above average only for a person that height. Best advice for that person is to hit the treadmill twelve minutes every day at moderate speed without stopping, after becoming used to the treadmill, run around your neighborhood increasing your time as you become more used to running. Fat is just accumulated waste that can be eradicated from one's body. Keep Your Hopes Up and I will be rooting for you.

K, don't listen to any of the other people on here. People think that you must be anorexic to be considered skinny today. Anyone that is not anorexic to todays society is considered fat.
For the male, maybe a bit chunky or it may be muscles, it all depends on how he is carrying the weight. If he's a married man it may be a little bit of a gut but definately not fat. Married men always are a bit bigger than single men cause they have us cooking for them every night.
For the woman, same thing it depends on where she is carrying the weight. It may be mostly muscle, it may be a bit of a gut or chunk. Also, it depends on is she pregnant or does she have something medically going on with her body that may be causing some weight gain. If it is not muscle than, yes that is a bit chunk but definately not fat.

no, that's not fat. you might be muscular, or soft and either way it wouldn't be fat!! male might be a little chubby, but if he has muscles then he would not be chubby since muscle weighs more. but i don't think either one of you have to worry about being fat! if you'd like to tone up, just walk a few min. a day, but honestly, i don't think you need to at all, unless you just did it to relieve stress or something. i'm sure you look great!
more detail: also, i like the bmi charts 'as a guide' sometimes... but i'm 5'5" and 152 lbs. i'm a size 3, but i'm very toned in the abs and legs (i run 3 miles a day). according to that chart, i'm overweight, but actually, i'm not. i'm really skinny and small (with muscle). i'd like to weigh more, but i love running. i think 165 is beautiful and as long as you feel healthy, you shouldn't listen to anyone who says otherwise
