Instant oatmeal (non-sweetened) and a banana is always a great breakfast.
You can try cereal (like grapenuts or other non-sweetened cereals) with Soy milk. I prefer Soy milk to milk...

It doesn't have to actual breakfest foods that you are normally use too, it just hast to be fuel.
A granola bar, juice and banana
My favorite is a low carb Tortilla, diced avocados and Soy bacon. It takes like 2 minutes to cook Soy bacon in the microwaves. Its really good and you can wrap it up and take it with you.

Weird... I can't have milk in the morning either... I usually just eat a bananna or orange and some toast. That's all you really need to have to boost the metabolism.

I really like the caribou coffee chewy granola bars. They come in a bunch of delicious flavors. I don't even really like coffee, but I like these bars. They're a little expensive, but worth it for a fast, tasty breakfast. Sometimes, I find it hard to wait until breakfast to have one.
Also, if you're lactose intolerant, there are some supplements that help a lot with mild intolerance.

instant oatmeal (w/ water) containing flax seeds and honey.
fruit of your choice. if you could spare a few minutes, eggs or egg whites would be great though.
you could also try whole wheat toast with all fruit jelly and/or natural peanut butter.

I usually have a yogurt for breakfast. You can have a bagel or English muffin or fruit. Check out the cereal or granola bars if you want something on the go.

Fruits, wheat toast or bagel, breakfast bars or instant oatmeal. You can also buy microwavable breakfast bowls at the grocery store. Although not that good for you they would be quick and easy.

Get some protein powder and use water to mix it. That's the best way to start your day and give you the nutrients you're probably missing from skipping meals and having to eat lunch from a school cafeteria. this is the one I use, but I'm sure any would do

I also am lactose intolerant so I take Lactaid, but I used to just use fruit juice or soda instead of milk and I enjoy it better than milk and sugar.

Buy some lactose-free milk, like LactAid. There's nothing easier than putting together a bowl of cereal when you're half asleep.

you're right breakfast is REALLY important. In fact the best brain food in the morning is protein. Eat some eggs, a cereal/protein bar. But the key is the quality of the food. If you're a vegetarian stay away from Textured Vegetable/Soy Protein. Or anything that is not simply organic Soy or tofu. Healthy Valley, Kashi, and Cascadian Farms are really good for cereal bars. Fruit is also really good for you in the morning. But make sure you eat it on an empty stomach and wait 20 minutes for it to digest. This is because it enables your body to take the most nutrients out of your fruit.

It poses a problem that you don't want to cook. A peanut butter and banana sandwich is good and filling. It would taste good on toast, but toasting bread may be too much of a hassle for you.
There are instant oatmeal packets, but you may not feel like bowling water.
Fruit (fresh and dried), yogurt, or a bagel and cream cheese.
It's good that you are thinking of your health.

A hard boiled egg is relatively light and quick, and will keep you filled up for quite a while. You can also boil them ahead of time so you'll have an easier time of it in the morning.
I also love oatmeal for breakfast, or pancakes. Something consisting mainly of carbohydrates will be quite light.

spray a bowl with pam and pour some eggbeaters in it nuke it for 3 minutes , eat it right from the bowl, 40 grams of protein in the same amount of time it would take you to pour a bowl of cereal, and the pam makes it not stick to the bowl so cleanups easy

Great idea to start eating breakfast! You'll find it makes a big difference in your energy level, ability to concentrate, and metabolism.
Try oatmeal (w/o milk since you can't tolerate the lactose, and instant since you don't feel like cooking) and put lots of raisins, chopped apples, honey, a little brown sugar, Cinnamon on it. Just delicious and low-fat and nutritious.
Try a whole-wheat bagel w/ a small amount of butter or peanut butter, whichever you prefer.
Toast an English muffin and have a banana with it and a glass of orange juice. Have a half a grapefruit and two slices of Cinnamon raisin toast, and a glass of low-fat milk.
If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind eating non-breakfast foods in the morning, have a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with lots of lettuce and tomato.
Hard-boil a few eggs and keep them in the refrig. Easy to eat on the go and great w/ lots of salt and pepper in the a.m., and some toast.
Don't make the mistake of eating anything that isn't really food like cereal bars -- those are processed and full of chemicals, sugar, and thickeners.
Have fun and enjoy!
