not so much as the sugar will make you feel hungrier later on, have some protein. eating them dry tells me that u're using them as a snack.

I ate them for breakfast OR lunch OR dinner OR a bedtime snack with skim milk, along with a no (or low) fat diet about 3 years ago and lost 60 pounds in 8 months. So I would say they can't hurt (my cholesterol dropped a lot, too, during that 8 months). Good luck.

They are okay to eat. You have to watch your whole diet not just one thing you are eating will make you gain or lose weight.

You're joking, right?
First of all, they are loaded with sugar. Sugar is not diet food. Secondly, they are loaded with salt. Salt is not good for anybody. Third, they are a source of carbs, and carbs are the downfall of every dieter.
No, eating frosted mini-wheats is not a good diet choice.

I remember eating frosted mini wheats. They make good snacks. I'm sure they are. If your not positive check an online food/calorie chart. You would be surprised at the food listings they have. The amount of information people gather for everyday name brand foods.

they are high in fiber, low in fat, have no cholesterol...the sugars are a bit disappointing...but on the whole i think they are a better little snack than cookies, cakes, pies, or candybars (if trying to appeal to your sweet tooth)
sio i'd say eat em but be aware of the sugars and go sparingly....
im guessing the regular shredded wheat (unfrosted) would not be nearly as tasty...otherwise i'd suggest just having those

How many servings are you eating at a time? Probably a lot of calories in them with the sugar.

Sure it's OK - just watch the quantity.
If you have something you really don't want, you will be craving those all day and probably end up cheating on your diet! Good luck and walk 20 minutes a day too - the inches will come right off!

Sure, you can eat them but just try to keep your appetite balanced with other foods.I mean mini-wheats have vitamins and fiber but, not enough.

There are many worse things you could eat so I'd not worry as long as they did not make up most of your diet.
Fresh fruit and whole gain breads will help you feel full longer. Forget the "all carbs are bad" idea, just lay off white bread/rolls, white rice and non-whole grain pasta. One thing that will help you lose weight is SNACKS! Yes, a piece of fruit or a (low sugar) yogurt or (low sugar) granola type bar mid morning and afternoon will help you not munch on chips and stuff. Don't skip breakfast.
Increasing your water consumption would be good. Go for lean meats and remember that according to the dietitians a "serving" of meat is 4 ounces... about the side of a normal deck of playing cards. So watch your portions and fill up on fruits and vegetables.

While they do have sugar on 'em, it's not nearly as much as most other pre-sweetened cereals, and they've got lots of fiber--excellent for dieters and/or healthy eaters! Good choice. I like them dry too.
