I think you are fine the way you are.
Keep in mind... 5'6" is a pretty good height for an adult female, and seeing that you are only 13, you probably are taller than most of the other girls your age. Your current weight is just fine for an average-sized adult woman at your height.
There's a decent chance that you may not grow much more than you already have, but that the other girls will catch up to you in the next few years.
The best thing for you to do is to work on maintaining your weight. Eat healthy (not necessarily less), and do a decent amount of exercise.
By the way... if you ever decided to lose weight (which I think is unnecessary at this point), you should not weigh less than 130. Anything lower than that is unhealthy for your height.

Hey...im kinda in the same boat, but worse...lemme tell ya what i know
Drink water right when you wake up...bottled or filtered NO TAP WATER...
Have a big breakfast...i know that doesnt make sence but it wakes up your body and it will digest better and faster..
Dont drink diet pops...or try to stay away from pop entirely
Try to eat as much all natural food as possible...and salads from mcdonalds or something doesnt count...
_scientiffically proven americas food is meant to make people fat and addicted... expecially fat food it just like ciggaretts it makes your body crave food that is bad and more_

You are definitely not fat and should not be worrying about that. If you want to tone your muscles, which won't help you lose weight but will add definition to your body, you could try Pilates and maybe some lap swimming at your local fitness club. Don't be alarmed if you aren't losing pounds. When you work out muscle mass is added and fat is decreased. Muscle weighs more than fat, so your weight may stay the same, but you will have more muscle definition and be stronger. Good luck!

Well first off dont think yourself as fat tihnk okay I have to loose a bit of weight. A really good excersie program is one you liek doing and isnt the same day to day. Try to mix it up a bit. Go swiming one day bike riding another, walking, and workout video are fun find dancing ones or something. Even if you cant dance it is fun and a good workout. GOOD LUCK!

I simply do not know. It depends on your body frame. if you have a lot of soft fat without nerve around your thighs & hips, maybe it's time to start exercising. Run, jog, do push-ups. Eat full, healthy meals everyday. if you skip meals, you'll only get fatter, because the next meal you eat is simply stored. Eat more carbs than calories. Fruits and vegetables are great choices. Don't put so much stress on yourself, that causes acne.

eat Celery. stick your finger down your throat. puke. repeat. you'll be skinny in only a month or two. also, your hair will fall out, you will look unhealthy, and your heart will develop a murmur.
bottom line, the scale doesn't say if you are pretty. the mirror does. how do you feel about yourself?

for your height, your not overweight, but if you still want to lose some weight you should jog, and cut out the sodas if you drink them, drink water, and dont eat to many fried foods, again, i think your weight is fine, but it's your body. good luck

thats not over weight. but if you want to get in shape, do a work out plan two times a week, thats all it takes, and besides you're thirteen, when you go through puberty alot of people gain weight, so dont worry about it.
and besides for someone 5"6' thats NOT over weight

No you are not fat at all!! I mean if you were only like 4'9 than yeah you would be. You are your perfect weight for your height. If you really want to tone up (don't we all!) you could try running, swimming, or using a rowing machine. If you aren't accessible to those you could do sit-ups, push-ups, and lunges. Do about 20 each and each week add on 5 more. (remember to drink lots of water throughout the day) If you do this you'll see results. Don't starve yourself!! Just be a smart eater. Eat your normal 3 meals a day and a snack once in awhile like yoplait yogurt. You can eat almost anything if you have portion control. You can still get fast food once in awhile of course but don't be getting like three cheeseburgers and 2 large fries!! Good luck and have fun with it girl!!

your definetly not fat. DO NOT go by the scale. but by how you look. you could have dense bones and if you dont drink enough water it can make you gain weight, just stay healthy and get about an hour of excersise a day like swimming or going for a walk in your neighborhood with friends. plus you're to young to worry about your weight. it may be hard im your age too, but i try not to worry about it.

i like the fact that your not resourcing to pills and surgery. theres a multitude of programs. the most effective is eating smaller portions, playing outside more, getting active in activities, and feeling good about it!

You do not need to lose any weight. You are the perfect size & anybody would love to be the size you are now. Please no dieting. Worry about more important things, like how your grades in school are looking. :-)

the height weight chart indicate you're just right!!! Take an aerobic class or a dance class with group of people. It's fun and it motivates you to finish vs just doing 10 minutes and then quitting. Be more active in your school sport programs. You really don't need a program just change your way of life...walk to the mall, walk to a friends house instead of getting a ride...small things really help. Ever Since I move to San Francisco and having a car here is not the greatest thing to have, I've been walking everywhere/everyday and notice i've loss a lot of weight and toned my body.

Forget loosing weight at your age. With a lot of activity like playing tennis, swimming and other type of sports you will trim down and tone up your muscles.
If you drink a lot of sugar in your soda or eat ice cream you may want to cut them way down.
Have fun and don't worry about your weight, because you are not really fat.

You are not to fat you are only 13 you haven't even hit sweet 16. Me myself I like to drink coffee, speed walk, and take omega 3. Pineapple and strawberries are the most fat burning foods on the planet. I have a gut so when I do sit ups I put 3lbs weights in my hands It helps me lift up. You probably still have babyfat on you. Don't dwell on it too much. It's easier to lose weight when you are young, don't let it get out of hand either.

no!that is a good weight for someone is 5'6"!!!You shouldn't even be worring about that at your age!Just have fun!Even if you are fat it doesn't matter!Just be yourself....I think that celebraty's are a bad role model for girls your age because you always hear about stars being anerixic or have a eating disorder,and theyre really skinny and then young girls think that if they don't look like that theyre weird and nobody likes them.They are pressured to look like that and since theyre all obsessed with their weight they dont have time to have fun and be kids!

First of all, that is not too heavy for your height, so don't stress. Easy weightloss tips are drinking a glass of fat free milk once a day, cutting out sugars, eating more fiber, fruits and veggies. Running/Walking is great way to lose weight, as well as aerobics and swimming, which is great because it's summer!!

You are good. That is normal. You are growing still, you haven't stopped growing yet. You could grow taller and you'd still be fine with that weight. If you are really concerned why don't you join a sport? like soccer or running or softball or something that way you are still getting exercise and having fun as well, today people are so pressured into weight thing, especially teen girls, it's sad.

Get into a sport and stick with it. By the way your not a bad size but the best way to keep in shape is to stay active and athletic so thats way I say take up a sport and don't foces too much on the boys you got all your life for that.

Your bmi (body mass index) is 21.8 which is normal. Though you can get down a bit more (probably like 10 pounds more) you'd be in perfect shape. I would suggest the following.
Stop drinking soda, eating chips, etc.
Start eating lots of oatmeal, stuff like that (also helps your heart)
Start drinking lots of water
Start doing exercise like 3 to 4 times a week. Running, walking, treadmill, etc is ok.
Don't eat fried or fast foods.
