Naku. You're too young for Lipo. I suggest you challenge yourself and go on a diet and get an exercise regimen. Besides, Doctors would not operate on you, except for maybe Pakistan.

unless you change your lifestyle what ever weight you lose during lipo will eventually just come back.

Eat less, do more excersise is a proven solution to weight loss

well im 12 and you still have long life ahead of you to loose the wieght. buy a ab machine and do cardio, it will take a while but by the end of the year you will be skinny and have washboard abs :)

It's really your choice, but come on, you're 14. You can better define your body by working out and exercising. Don't do it the easy and sad way. So many bad things can happen too. So many doctors out there are not truly licensed. You will be scarred. Hmmm... You will be unhappy. You can even go into depression.


Jog it, run it, and the weight will come right off. It's not gonna be easy. Beauty hurts, you know...

Cosmetic surgery or surgery should only be for things you truly can't change, like a nose job, a filler for wrinkles, or nicer lips. But not lipo. Lose the fat first and if it's impossible to tone, then go for lipo.

168 is NOT fat. If you aren't happy with your physical appearance, eat better and exercise regularly. You're definitely too young for liposuction. You shouldn't get it even if you are older; there's too much of a risk for death.

Jennifer, the only way you could get lipo at your age would be with parental approval and most plastic surgeons won't even go that far.

Seriously, have you tried other methods to lose weight? There are a number of good plans (which don't involve a lot of serious dieting) which can help and even doing more walking or something fun can help lose weight a little bit a time.

Changing your weight means changing your lifestyle somewhat. You are at an age where you can change everything, easier than most other people! Try making a small change in your daily routine and see how it can affect how you feel. If you can make 3 or 4 small changes, than could lose you some 15 - 20 lbs without a whole lot of effort... That would be a good start!

Yes. Liposuction actually causes a lot of problems that you never hear about, because fat cells, in addition to storing fat, have a lot to do with hormone regulation in your body. When all those cells are taken out, the body has lost a large part of those hormones and has to learn new ways of controlling old functions.

I've been struggling with my weight since I was in gradeschool and I'm out of college now. I know you may know all this, but the best thing to do is eat more vegetables and less desserts. Vegetables have a lot of fiber but hardly any calories (as long as you don't use butter, dressing, etc.) so they will fill you up quickly. Whenever you feel hungry between meals, drink a glass or two of water and that will help keep your stomach full as well. In addition, any physical exercise you can get will help stimulate your metabolism and build muscle mass--and muscle mass is much, much leaner than fat mass. It is possible, that if someone works out a lot they might not lose much weight but they will lose a lot of inches because fat takes up so much room, whereas muscle is very lean and will also help you look more toned. Don't set unreasonable goals--if you're not used to exercise, try starting with a 1/2 hour of activity every other day. And don't cut out all comfort food from your diet--just make a rule like no afternoon snacks, no sodas, or no snacking after 8pm--and you might be suprised at how much fewer calories you are eating. It will take a couple months so see a lot of difference, but this way you will feel better about yourself and you will be building better habits that will keep you healthier and leaner longer than if you try surgery or diet pills and don't change your lifestyle. Sorry to make this so long but that's the best advice I know!

You are definitely too young for lipo. Your body is most likely not done developing yet. Trust me, I had weight problems as a preteen and teen, but around 16 I started to slim down and develop a more mature figure. As for now make an effort to eat healthfully(lots of fruits and veggies) and exercise for about 30 minutes a day. I'm sure that you'll see changes in no time. Also, don't think of 168 as some disgustingly fat number...it's not. You're probably quite average.

You didn't say whether you are a male or a female, how tall you are, and what size your frame is. You could be big or small boned and at your age you may not be as overweight as you think! I would ask your question again giving the details. Don't be embarassed either!

By the way I don't think you can get liposuction at your age but I'm not 100% positive.

P.S. Ignore the idiots who actually say if they think you are overweight or not. It is impossible to answer your question accurately without knowing your height, frame, and sex.

lipo could have drastic effects when you get older.
most time you will proportion out when you get older.
i wouldn't recommend it but if you are pressed to lose weight, LIGHT dieting and excersizing [ dancing, maybe? ] would be the best route.

light dieting:
do not do anything drastic, try reducing your portions or instead of eaching rice and potatos each broccoli and rice. something like that.

also, when exersizing do not over do it. take it one step at a time but you have to keep it consistient.

lipo is really only used in problem areas. like inner thighs, lovehands. small parts that you just can't get toned. its not an instand skinny surgery. oh yeah, and you to young.

Yes and lipo is not a get skinny quick surgery most Dr.'s will only do as a last resort after you have proven diet and exercise has not worked for you.

I would have to say absolutely yes. You should have more than enough energy to burn that off in about two years. Dont forget we dont stop growing and changing until we're almost 22 years old. The mind is still developing at 21 and your body will continue to go through changes until then. Yes your weight is a little on the unhealthy side but you didnt mention how tall you are. Since you're concerned about it, do something now while you still can. Eventually your weight will put alot of pressure on your knees and ankles and you wont want to do any activity beyond walking. People can say whatever they want about the craze to be thin but the medical facts are that being overweight will shorten your life span and can begin to cause medical problems as young as nine. Stay away from white sugar, white flour, candy, seasoning, red meat, cheeze, fast foods and easy on the dairy until you begin to flush out the extra weight. Act like your life depends on it cause in 20 years it will. So take care of it while you are still healthy enough to do so. Its way more than just a fashion statement.

You are far too young for liposuction. Liposuction is generally used as a last resort or for cosmetic appearances. It is only used on adults.

Don't let your weight get you down. You are still growing for one, and at your age people often balloon up a little (gain a little weight). Secondly, if you are done growing - the best plan of action is a combination of diet and exercise.

What you need to do is begin to exercise and find healthy food to eat. Also, portion control and cutting back on sweets! I can almost guarantee you that if you do not exercise with diet, you may lose weight at first but you will gain it back! Therefore - start running, or biking, or even weight lifting.

The more muscle you have, by the way, the more your body can metabolize - which means you can actually take in more calories daily without worrying about gaining as much weight.

Take these suggestions into consideration.
