Ok, firstly go see a therapist.
Secondly, it depends on muscle mass and such.
So maybe you are, and maybe you aren't.

First of all how old are you, do you work out or not because it could be muscle...if anything i think you need to re-think what is really important to you because being thin is not everything unless it is to be healthy. Who gives a S@iT what others think of you!

It does not matter you weight. It depends on your body fat %. My best friend is a size 10/11 but has a really low body fat %. Go to your local gym and ask them to take your body fat. Most will do this free if your a member or on a trial pass.

so i just took your BMI with the information you gave me. here's the site: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
so anyways. I came out with a 26.9. which is overweight, according to the chart. if you were three points lower, you'd be in the normal range; but those three points equals twenty or more pounds. so you can still work at it. at 5' 2", you should be anywhere from 100 to 130. just eat healthy and exercise atleast anywhere from 20-30 minutes a day. whether it be running up your street or helping around the house. don't be discouraged. all you need to do is commit yourself to losing weight. so, don't stress over it. okay? =]

Your not FAT!! Anyone that would call you fat is just ignorant!
Your BMI is 26.9 (ok that is overweight) but still your not fat.
BMI Categories:
•Underweight = <18.5
•Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
•Overweight = 25-29.9
•Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
Just love yourself & forget about what other people think!

It sounds like its a little pudge but not flat out fat. I am pudgy, but not fat. You could probably stand to lose 15 lbs but that definitely doesn't make you fat!

your bmi (body mass index) is 26.9 and to be overweight it must be 25-29.9 however it doesn't matter what SIZE you are as long as you are healthy. Your BMI however is something you may want to consider lowering.

despite your clear request I think it is unlikely that you'll get a direct answer to your question. Unfortunately words often frighten people. And sometimes people feel that they are doing someone a favor by changing the definition of a word. A good example of this is the word retarded which was a normal part of the English vocabulary in America many years ago. Unfortunately because of its use as derogatory term it fell out of favor and was replaced with mentally challenged! Or slow rather than people changing how they view the retarded they kept the internal prejudice and just changed the vocabulary which is far easier. It doesn't matter that retarded is simply the Latin word for slow/delayed what matters is that we replaced it with a better word so that we could feel less guilty. The odd thing is that the new word can just as quickly become an insult depending upon how it is used. You use the term FAT in your posting. Lately that word has become more of an insult today than a simple descriptive adjective. Overweight and obese are now the politically correct terms even though they ultimately mean the same thing essentially.
I had a wise instructor once who gave me a simple principle to live by when it comes to assessment of body size. He suggested that the person who is questioning if they are overweight should stand in front of a full-length mirror after getting out of shower. The person should then jump in the air once looking at themselves in the mirror. If anything moves that shouldn't have moved then you can stand to lose a little weight. I've often thought of a variation on this theme; picture what Arnold Schwarzenegger looked like at the peak of his bodybuilding career. Take his height and weight at that time and plug them into one of the calculators and you'll come up with a figure that states that he would have probably qualified as morbidly obese. And yet, if you look at him during that time frame he certainly didn't look obese, he looked like a bodybuilder. The problem is that human beings judge each other by volume not by mass. Unfortunately measuring volume is slightly more technically difficult than measuring our weight/mass. and since there is a fairly good correlation between weight and volume since fat weighs 6 pounds per gallon. This is something I often mention to friends that are embarking on a weight loss plan. I willask if there is anything they buy from the supermarket weekly that comes in one gallon containers. If so, I ask them to save one empty container every time they lose another 6 pounds of weight. I then ask them to put empty container somewhere in the house after washing it out where it will be seen daily such as near the front door. That way they can get an appreciation for how much actual volume of fat they have lost up until that point. So, are you fat at 5'2"and147 I would say yes, but I think you already knew the answer to the question before you asked it. It just seems like you were looking for someone to be straight and honest with you, but that is a big guess as I have never seen you before.Just please be cautious. being over or underweight can be a massive blow to one's self assessment/and self-worth. In addition this world is full of amoral predators who will promise magical weight loss from this pill or that diet or the other device. losing weight is uncomfortable, anyone who says different is selling you something. your body will want to prepare for possible lean winter months by inciting you to pack on a little more fuel and insulation. Resisting such a basic drive is very difficult. but not resisting it leaves you a bit over-prepared for the famine-winter months

It depends on your age. I felt I looked fat at 130, but that's just me. Everyone has different bodies and different bone structures. I'm small boned so I can't have a lot of weight on me. Plus, you may carry your weight well. If you want to lose some, just eat right and workout. Enjoy life.
Hope I helped! :-)
