NO, you're not fat at all. You're just a little bit chunky. But it's healthy to have that. Just don't concentrate on it and it won't seem as bad. Don't worry about it. Once you grow a little taller it'll probably get a little better. :]

You are not Chunky or fat. That weight with that height is healthy.
What is wrong with our youth that they all have eating disorders or think that they are fat? This is the 2nd question of this kind I've seen with in a few minutes!!!
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH OUR KIDS!!!!!

I think a huge belly and huge thighs would constitute as fat. chunky might be a little bulge that does not hang over and thighs that don't rub or shake when walking.

Well idont know what you think is huge but, i am 5 2 and weigh about 138. I do have a pouch but it doesnt mean i am overweight and i dont think you are either. but, you should try to trim down because stomach fat can cause many other health problems. I started running about a mile a day, so far it is doing me good. oh yeah and its not chunky its just nice and thick just firm it up.

for your age and height you are a bit too "round" I wouldn't say fat, as you get older you may lose this "puppy fat" or if you have it in your genes you can get heavier and with motivation and after school activities you can become more toned and healthy. But whatever don't let it get it you down and don't think your fat as long as your healthy and a happy person is what matters.

You may feel fat but believe me....there's this period of time when you are growing up (yeah....14-15) where you change and you grow taller. My son was a skinny kid until THEN -- got chunky (and wasn't a tv addict or computer addict - he was very active outside) but then he got through it -- grew tall and thin and can eat a lot. You are NOT FAT.

I know what you feel! I'm 13 yrs old, 5'5", and 135-140 lbs. I have fat thighs and especially a big waist. I don't think you're overweight right now, but maybe just chubby. If you want to lose weight, just stop eating foods high in fat, sugar, and calories. Don't eat when you're not hungry, and make sure to exercise every day. This works because I've tried it before, but I'm still heavy because I've failed so many times (lost a few pounds, then gained again).

no you are not fat...however if you are feeling insecure, then I suggest running, walking, or riding a bike. Eating right is also a big part. If you cut down the junk food now and make it a habit then you could prevent youself from putting on more weight. Also running and good cardiovascular exercise is not only beneficial for you now, but also puts years on your life!

If you are 5 feet 8 inches, you are supposed to weigh about 140-150...Since you are 5 feet 3 inches, you are supposed to weigh 115-125 lbs.

You are fine. I am sure your thighs and belly are not huge.
One recommendation, DO NOT GAIN anymore weight, unless you get taller.

I think the question you should be asking is are you healthy. You can try on-line tools like body mass index calculators. They will give you an idea if you really do need to loose weight for health reasons.

Okay, I'm going to be completely honest : You're not REALLY chunky, but you're chubby. It's the harsh truth :(
Try eating more fruits and veggies in place of other fatty meals, like junk food, cookies, or high calorie meals. Try eating more grapes, clemintines, apples (with vanilla yogurt), blueberries, hummus (it sounds gross but it's really not, especially with Wheat Thins or Food Should Taste Good brand whole grain chips! I personally like garden vegetable or tomato flavored), granola, low-fat yogurt, low-fat string cheese, LITE whole wheat bread, 100 - calorie popcorn / kettle corn bags, steamed broccoli with a buttery Garlic sauce etc. I also snack on South Beach Diet oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, they're good AND pretty healthy!
Incorporate more exercise into your daily life. Take the dog for a 20 minute walk, do jumping jacks while watching TV, do laps around the block, or the house for that matter. Don't let yourself sit down for too long. If you can, get a gym membership. I use an elliptical for 30 minutes 5-6 times a week and it works great for me.
And don't eat out of boredom! It's a nasty habit to break, TRUST ME. Whenever you feel like eating, watch a movie with no commercial breaks so you don't have time to get up, call a friend, read a book or magazine, or get out of the house, away from the food.
I recently lost weight, about 20 lbs, and what really helped for me was planning my meals. I planned when and what I was going to eat, and made sure the calorie count was 1400. It may be different depending on your needs, but never go under 1200! Whatver you do, don't let yourself stray from your plan. Write it all down or type it out and leave it up on your computer so you don't forget, that's what I do.
And don't "DIET". Because the moment you go off your "diet", you'll regain the all the weight you lost quickly, believe me. Instead, make "healthy living choices."
You'll never get to your "ideal" body by eating crap food and sitting around, no matter how much you want it to happen. It takes dedication to get the body you want! Make it like a game. How much weight can I lose? Prove it to yourself you DO have the willpower to get what you want.
But allow yourself a cheat day every now and then. Life is too short! If you restrict your body of all the "good foods", you will one day EXPLODE and eat everything in sight. Trust me!
Good luck! Hope that helps (:
