Am i a normal weight?
I am about 5'7 and weigh 120 pounds. Im 16 years old. Is this a healthy weight? I feel i need to loose at least 5 pounds. I'm not fat. I know this i just feel like i need to tone up. Am i normal or what? Advice please!

Im only asking because i keep being told im fat by a guy and i know im not. I guess i just need to tone.

you're actually under weight. so losing weight would be unhealthy but what you could do is get on a healthy food regimine and exercise to tone. getting toned isn't all about losing weight.

That is actually on the lower side of healthy --you definitely don't need to lose weight, gaining weight may actually be better! So no, don't lose weight --exercise more if you want to tone, losing weight won't help with that.

For the height/weight...I'm 5'4 & i should be 120lbs. I need about 10 more pounds. You being 5'7 probably could use a bit more... But here's a website that calculates your weight for you:

There is a big difference between losing weight and toning up. If you feel that you need to tone up, then you should be exercising more, and eating properly. 120 pounds is not overweight.

Your BMI is 18.8 and Normal weight = 18.5-24.9

So you are the low end of normal. I would exercise to tone up, but more importantly to make you feel better physically and mentally about yourself. Don't worry too much about what the number on the scale says as long as your BMI is in the healthy range.

are you kidding me? your normal weight? you are actualy very skinny. i weigh 185 and im 5'11. If you honestly feel "fat" (which ur not) get a gym membership and go there every other day. i go to planet fitness and its 10dollers a month :) but i go every day after football pratice.

yes thats a normal weight.
its acctually quite low.
work out your BMI then you can look at the BMI chart and it will thell you if you are underweight normal overweight or obesse.

I think that you need to consider gaining a couple pounds. It is great that you want to tone up! Just lift some weights and do some sort of cardio or aerobics. Good luck! :)

You are actually on the smaller side for your height, with a BMI of about 18. I assume that fat isn't the issue in this case, but the lack of muscle tone that is bothering you...try a beginner's weight-lifting class or crunches, lunges, etc.
