You aren't overweight. If you're eating properly and exercising like you say you are, your body's trying to tell you you're FINE.

You are normal for your size and your age. Right now is a very important growth time for your body. Continue to exercise and do your best to eat as healthy as possible. Try to avoid junk food. You need to get the best nutrition possible so that you have good health for the rest of your life.
Whole grains, seeds, nuts, yogurt, chicken, Turkey, organic beef, tofu, beans, eggs, natural cheese, cottage cheese, vegetables and fruits should form the base of your diet. Protein should be the building block of nutrition. Consuming fruits and vegetables in their most natural form provides the most minerals and vitamins. Green vegetables provide incredible minerals that our body needs to help absorb vitamins as well as necessary fiber. Fresh fruit provides minerals, fiber and natural waters that are absorbed on a cellular level.
If you have any questions please let me know.

If girls of the same age as you say your fat they are most proberely jealous of you because you are much prettier then them and they know its going to get to you.Give yourself a chance, you sound fine to me.

I'm 34 5'2" and weigh eight stone, everyone says I am really thin so if I am you must be! You sound a normal weight for your height and you exercise regularly so don't worry. If you are concerned then go see your school nurse, PE teacher if they are friendly or practice nurse to ask them if your weight is normal. They should be able to help you, worrying about weight on your own is not healty as you may end up thinking (as you seem to be doing) that you are fat when really you are normal.

First, stop weighing yourself more than once a day, that's how problems begin. Second, your 12(and taller than me at 17 but that's beside the point). You're FINE! I promise, I have no idea who you are but by what you wrote, you're perfectly OK. And I'm gonna go on a hunch here and say you're gymnastics class is what's causing this, since they teach girls to be so small for their sport, but as it is in the world aside from that sport, you're fine. Ask your trainer if you don't believe me. But the definite thing I really like that you're doing even at your age is you're active. That's rare these days. So relax on it a little. You're way ahead of the rest of America when it comes to being healthy.

Your body is preparing itself to grow, so you might look a little different than you used to. It sounds like you have a lot of muscle on you, being you add 8 - 10lbs in a day. It is impossible to gain 8 - 10 lbs of fat, you it is water, food, clothes.
If you want, increase your time on the trampoline to 20 minutes per day. On other days, ride your bike or go for a walk/jog. Go play with your dog or friends outside.
But, 5 feet, 120 lbs is fine for an athletic person. Most importantly, you need to learn to accept yourself for who you are. Don't start obsessing over your appearance. Instead, take measures to stay healthy, both mind and body, and accept yourself more everyday. Don't start comparing yourself to things like the BMI or the girl who sits in front of you in class. Adolescence is hard enough. Don't be your worst enemy during it.

at 12 years old you still have baby fat, i am not being rude but as you grow and your body mass changes you will get more muscle mass and less fat mass if you continue to exercise regularly and eat properly. the best thing you can do now is to develop good eating habits that will last you a life time. limit your intake of sugars and try to stay away from sugary drinks like sodas and milkshakes. eat as much fresh veggies and fruits as you can instead of chips and cookies. i am not saying you have to stay away from things that you enjoy but get into the habit of eating foods that are good for you and you will never have a weight problem, good luck!!

sweetheart you are definitely not fat. people can very often gain several pound throughout the day its perfectly normal. if your feel low or feel the need to lose weight (which you certainly don't need to) then please talk to someone about it. i promise you from your height and weight ratio + all the exercise you do you are not ever close to becoming over weight.

At only 12 years old you are still growing, and your body is going through complex changes. If you are fit and healthy and dont get our of breath easily then you should just concentrate on exercising every day and eating 3 or 4 good meals each day with plenty of fruit and vegetables - your body weight will take care of itself provided you dont gorge yourself on sweets or starve yourself by feeling you must lose weight. Your body will respond best to regular and consistent patterns of eating and types of food eaten, and to regular energetic exercise at least 5 times a week for 30 minutes each time. You are not overweight, and should pay attention to growing healthily and not watching the scales - wait until you have reached your final height before bothering with ridiculous things such as BMI ratios, and enjoy being twelve - you dont get another chance to have a great childhood.

Honey!!!!!!
You are 12 years old, your weight will continue to change over the next 5 years. At your age while your body is still developing, you shouldn't diet, but just stick to a healthy eating plan and have regular excercise (which it sounds like you already do).
But to answer your question, i don't think 8st at 5" is fat at all, certainly not obese.

You're not fat at all- don't go on a diet just eat healthily plenty of fruit fibre and veggies- exercise is really good and especally trampolineing - it will help you tone up- your body will be going through a lot of important changes in the next few years and you will need a good food intake to give yourself a good start- for godness sake don't get obsessed with dieting- everything in moderation or life isnt worth living!

Of course you are not overweight, I think you are perfect, and no matter how hard you try to lose that imagined fat, you are not going to be able to, as you need to grow. Who's to say you are not going to be 6ft? Do you realise how many calories it takes to get that tall. Be happy my darling, you sound just perfect, and if you carry on with the excercising you will not have to suffer heart disease or any of the other complications of being sedate and overweight! You are a shining example to lazy fat children who eat rubbish and sit in front of the T.V all day. I for one am proud of you and your parents. Well done!!.xx

Is that a typo? You do not go from 112 lbs to 122 during one day. That's impossible.
Your weight is normal for your age and height. However, if you are unhappy with the way you look there are some things you can do:
1. Go on the trampoline for 30 minutes instead of 10.
2. Don't drink any regular (non-diet) soft drinks or soda.
3. Stay away from candy, chips or any other packaged snack foods. Also don't ever, ever eat any fast food.
4. Eat lots of healthy fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water.

I did a BMI of your height and weight, and it was 23 (between 20 and 25 is healthy), you don't need to worry about it. Plus there's muscle to consider. You're only 12. You are very healthy.
By the way, ignore all fat answers because they are completely wrong. You are fine. If you're 122, you're fine, I'm 135, 13, and I'm not overweight. Don't worry. Just eat healthy.
