Below 70 definitely. I get that way sometimes taking meds. Its good to keep some snacks handy for those times. While working, I have my cooler that plugs into my vehicle. I keep some yogurts, tiny tim tomatoes, carrots or trail mix along with some power-aid or some OJ.

below 70mg/dL ( Miligrams per Deciliter) is hypoglycemia. A child might need to be more cautious because they can be low at possibly even 85. If you fell low but your meter says somthing different, check in 15 minuets to see if your dropping. If you are, you need to take something sugary. If you are diabetic, make sure to always have some form of sugar on you. I personaly use fruit snacks, because they work fastest. Try expirimenting to see what form of sugar works best for you. If you blood sugar is ten, you would be unconsious if not dead, so maybe try with a different meter, if you have one. By the way, what kind of meter do you have? I dont know of any that might give you a number between 1 and ten.

To change their readings to yours divide their reading by 18. To change yours to ours, multiply by 18.
70 would be 3.8
anything below that would be considered low.
Of course there is no standard closer than 25% on accuracy of meters. I cannot remember which meter the UK likes, but know it isn't my favorite One Touch.
Check your meter at the doctors office or the lab the next time you get monitored or blood draw there. You can check the accuracy of your meter compared to theirs and do the correction.
I don't get stressed about my numbers until they are around 40 or 2.2
Good luck hon.

Check with someone in your country. The answers you have here ARE Americans. Seriously, if you are hypo/hyperglycemic, you need to speak with a nurse or physician to learn more about your specific condition.
It is imperative that you know signs and symptoms of either, and learn management of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia so that you won't get into trouble.
Good Luck!
