it can be, because a normal blood sugar is around 70-110 or 80-120. better see your doctor. |

Yes, I just found out that I am type 2 diabetic. My doctor told me anytime someones blood sugar was 150, then that person is a diabetic. Normal is 60 - 120. You need very much to see your doctor as soon as possible. Here are some very good websites that can give you information on diabetes: mayoclinic.com, www.wedmd.com, www.prevention. com Good luck! |

I would get it checked out. 150 is a high fasting blood sugar, it could be diabetes or per-diabetes or something else but it still needs checking. I am getting just below that result 144 and I havent been diagnosed to have diabetes but everytime I go to the doctors because I have to walk a long way it goes down when I do the test so therefore I the doctor things I havent got it. My mates think I have as it was her who first tested me. Take care and good luck |

you really need to see a doctor about it. Uncontrolled diabetes is really bad - you can end up with peripheral nerve damage (not being able to feel your toes and fingers). They can do a glucose challenge to confirm. Your fasting glucose is definitely out of the range for normal. You can try controlling it with diet and exercise first, and if that doesn't work, you will need medicine. |

one high test result is in no way conclusive, even if it is a fasting test. but 150 *is* a high fasting bsl so don't ignore it,it may be a sign of diabetes. See a doctor about your concerns, only the tests that a doc can provide will give you a definite answer. |

150 is definitely in the diabetic range. You need to see a doctor for futher testing and diagnosis. Don't delay, cause the symptoms can hurt if you wait until you are totally out of control. |

It does not mean you have diabetes but you should followup with a doctor. Are you overweight, What is your diet like? Do you exercise? Its probably that your body is not producing enough insulin for the amount of glucose you consume. Sometimes, diet can change it with exercise. (Changing your lifestyle). Its important to followup with a doctor to prevent complications. Please read the attached source. Good luck. |

You may have Diabetes or you have Pre-diabetes for sure. See the info on http://www.diabetes.org/diabetes-prevention/pre-diabetes.jsp But at this stage you can fully control your blood sugars by simply doing these steps. 1) Divide your total daily food and eat in small portions (instead of eating 3 times a day, eat the same total daily food 5 times) 2) Eat more fiberful foods and whole grains 3) Eat lots of vegetables in every meal - they have almost no effect on blood sugar 4) Divide and Eat fruits. Also, don't drink fruits juices. 5) Do simple exercise like walking at least twice a day and at least for 15 min. 6) Sleep well 7) Drink plenty of water |
