Why dosen't my nose ever stop running?

Bob B	its probablly allergies to something that hangs around u all day. i take medication for my allergies, and it helps for a short time until it finally breaks thru. possibly talk to a doctor if it never stops. if its not a big deal, live with it, it should eventually stop. michaelbellman	I would try a saline nasal rinse (not a spray.),a full warm water saline rinse goes in one nostril and out the other. It draws out all the gunk and shrinks the tissue (like swimming in the ocean). The buffered salt doesn't 'sting' as much as plain salt water. You can use a new method like Nasopure, or the vintage, Netipot. You don’t need a prescription for this therapy. If you live in a state like mine, they’ve pretty much “outlawed” Sudafed medicine. missxstrawberry	oh oh this works soo good. sudacare shower soothers. you stick it in the front of your shower face towards it and this amazing scent comes out and it clears up stuffing and runny noses. it works like magic. do it a nighttime it works better. then buy Tylenol sinus congestion and pain. i know its for stuffy noses but it helps for runny too. get the one that comes with the day and nighttime usage. after using the shower soothers right before you go to sleep then use the nighttime pill and the next morning it will be pretty much better but still take a daytime pill. it works! goodluck Was this answer helpful to you? Anon	Your nose runs, because your body produces these fluids to trap articles in the air so you can get rid of them more easily, instead of accumulating in the body. -) You may be exposed to fumes at work, say if you work in a sanding or wood working job -) Many grocers use floor waxing equipment that can kick up a lot of dust, dirt, & other things off the floor into the air. -) Smog..., many large cities have this due to factories spewing smoke or chemicals into the air, or large numbers of vehicles that produce so much smoke. -) Vacuum cleaners. Cheap ones will suck up dust from the floor, but will also stir it up back into the air, or even let small particles of dust escape from the bag. -) Pollinating trees. Very annoying, but can't exactly avoid it, so have to deal with it till pollination season is over. Generally, there is a cause, although you may have to think to find out just what it is. There may be others I have not listed. Are there any of these that apply? Would you be able to remedy any of these? dazedandconfused	Advil cold & Sinus is good. Depends WHY it's running. Do you have a cold, or allergies, snort crap up your nose, or is that just the way it is? If you answer none of the above, it could have something to do with your adnoids... Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
