Is it painful during root canal treatment?

lsawholder	It isn' t as bad as you think. I have hadseveral root canals. It ia worse to get fillings than a root canal. If you are too nervous about it , they can give you gas to relax you. That always helps me and the dentist.

TECHX69	Relax...REALLY..It's not that bad. I've had at least 6 root canals over the years. I was apprehensive myself before the first one but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. You'll see...GOOD LUCK!!

cathy l	no, cos the dentist will inject anesthetic on it, it may be uncomfortable though.

palmer_lara	I had it and think it was bearable, I'm still alive and not having trauma. Try to think at something funny, I'll be with you!

bad person	don't worry u'll be fine, It doesn't hurt, u have an anestigea, it hurts a bit after for like a couple of days, but u can always take an Advil, I had at least 8 of them, I'm still alive

moctwins2	They do numb the area with novicaine, but it is uncomfortable and you may have some pain after, but i'd rather have a root canal more then suffer with a devil of a toothache. Good Luck.

MP	I have had it done, its not bad at all!!! Dont worry yourself over it like I did. The worst pain is the Needle in your gum. Trust me you will be fine.

AnnaG	I was a dental assistant for 2 years. It is not as bad as people think. You are numb you won't feel any pain but you will feel a little pressure. The only thing is depending on what tooth it is, and how many roots, you may have to have your mouth open for a long time. Many people would come in(grown men also) shaking being so scared. Then they would say "wow thats not as bad as I thought" you will be fine. If the doctor has the "laughing gas" that makes it even better because you zone in and out. Good luck hun you'll be fine. I had a 4 hour root canal and i survived! :)

Complicada	it is if you have abcess, if none, you will be alright. don't worry.
