if your getting put to sleep you will be FINE>> if you will be awake you wont feel it but you might feel pressure.. its a day or so later that it is bothersom.. Take some pain killers when you get home so your jaw doesnt ache. |

The shot hurts more than anything, then it just feels gross, not really hurt. |

Yes, if you do not have sedation. Do NOT allow them to do it with only novacaine... it will be HORRIBLE. You need to go to a dentist who will give you IV sedation, nitrious or an oral concious sedation. Don't let them convince you otherwise. With sedation, you will be sore once you wake up, but discuss with the dentist AHEAD of time, that you expect to be written a script for pain pills. If they do not agree... find one who does. Do NOT accept just prescription Ibroprophen. It will need to be a Ibro/cod mix or Vicodins/ percs, etc. |

If its wisdom teeth it will hurt for about a week, but they should put you under when they do that. |

The shots the give you to numb it hurt worse then the tooth pulling. They will give you a few shots in the gums around the teeth then they take pliers and crack yank. Yeah you can hear it and it feels funny but usually dint hurt if they do it right. Of course some places just flat put you to sleep and you dint hear, see or feel anything till you wake up. |

yes when that medicine wears off your in for allotttt of pain |

Yes you can hear it sometimes, you will feel pressure but no pain, just as long as the dentist numbs you well. Not a big deal. You will be sore after the numbness wears off, after the procedure. Nothing a little headache medicine can't help. |

they give you pain meds. and you don't always hear it. so that doesn't matter |

Not really. you'll be fine, just keep calm. don't smoke, you can make it worse. |

it hurts if the numbing doesn't work then you feel every thing but i think the worst part is afterwards it is kinda hard for you to keep your mouth closed |

its only an uncomfortable feeling if they numb you correctly. Though the next couple of days after really hurt |

You'll have the area numbed with an injection and the tooth will be pulled. With your earphones in you'll probably hear nothing. It does not hurt until the injection starts wearing off, but even then its not too bad and a couple of painkillers will help enormously |

it doesnt hurt the thing that hurts the most is the anesthetic shot, but my doctor rubbed anesthetic cream on my gum before he gave me the shot |

No it doesn't hurt while you're getting your teeth pulled. What happens is very simple they give you a shot of novacane and they give you so much they could punch you in the mouth and you wouldn't feel it's after you get your teeth pulled is when it hurts. |

The only part that hurts is when they stick the needle in and move it around to inject the Novocaine. I never actually heard my tooth coming out. |

It does not really hurt, but you do feel the dentist tugging when he pulls them out.. Then it feels strange to have the empty space where your teeth use to be for a few days... |

Everyone is different I guess. When I got my teeth pulled out, it didnt hurt because it was numbed (the shot might hurt a bit, but its better than not getting it numbed, you know?) It will however me a little sore afterwards, but the doctor might give you something for the pain :) Good luck and dont worry. Oh, yeah, taking your ipod is a great idea cuz sometimes just hearing the tools they are using can make a person anxious. So crank up the music and relax, you will be fine |

No, it doesn't hurts at all. You will only feel a little thrust... and that's it! Don't worry and stay calm. In two seconds: one the tooth is there, two it isn't there anymore. Good luck! :) |

It doesn't hurt at first, but after they pull it dont mess with it cause then it will keep bleeding. When i got one of my teeth pulled, i messed with it and it kept bleeding. Eat soft food if u get hungry after words. |

No, it is not. Since doctors use medicines to cool the process down, for me I just took one off without any problems. |

Had my 2 upper wisdom teeth pulled out beginning of May. I made sure I had plenty of novacaine. I can NOT tolerate pain so I made my dentist give me a scrip for a pain killer for later. It did not hurt nor could I hear the teeth being pulled out at that time. A few hours later when the novaciane wore off it started to hurt as it did for at least 2 days or s therafter. Vicodin helped! |

i doubt that they will let you listen to your ipod while the dentist is pulling your teeth, and yes, it does hurt. |

I got teeth pulled before. First they numb you up so you don;t feel pain. You will feel pressure and the yanking around of them in there. After wards I got a prescription for pain meds but the pain only last a short while. Be sure you follow what they tell you on the aftercare of it that will be important to have it heal right. |

good plan to be listening to music...it doesn't hurt because they numb you, but I always take a Tylenol or Ibuprofen BEFORE I go to the dentist, so it will already be working and relieving pain by the time it does start to get tender. Your dentist will have good instructions for you on what to do (don't eat hot food, or hard, chewy or crunchy food) for a certain amount of time, don't drink out of straws (the suction can reopen the wound). But it will heal pretty fast, and its a good excuse to eat pudding, mashed potatoes, and applesauce! Good luck! oh yeah...Jello too :) |
