umm i have an over bite it depends how big it is there wont be any surgery i dont think but i had to get braces if you teeth are straight they may just give you a retainer but braces arent that bad and if you only have to fix an over bite then you shouldnt have them on for that long trust me you shouldnt be scared i have had my braces on for 4 1/2 years almost 5 and i had to get 4 teeth pulled which came with 9 needles cuz my mouth was too crowded but its not that bad you end up with really nice teeth in the end.

They simply use braces to pull the top teeth back to where they should be, since there is no way to move the top jaw. Usually, they use either tiny springs, or rubber bands to aid in the gradual process.
They had to remove two of my top teeth to do that, but I never wore headgears.
They cannot correct it with surgery, just braces, the wire kind.

Braces, and don't be scared, they just put braces on, not a big deal, also, they will put a rubber band on each side of your brackets on the braces to pull your jaw back into normal position. They did it with mine and it aligned my jaw back to where it should be about 70 to 80% of the way, not bad though, I didn't have much of an over bite, but I still have somewhat, my frontal teeth still cover about half of my lower teeth, which is common in a lot of people. Hope this helps.

Depends how bad it is. If you get braces though be prepared for alot of work, brushing after each meal, flossing daily in between those brackets, and a horrible odor often comes if too much bacteria builds up in the braces. If you are a very patient person, you should not have a problem with this.

Don't worry, you'll most likely get braces. They hurt a little at first, but then they get loose and it's fine. Or, you may just need a retainer if the overbite isn't that bad.

Often an overbite can be corrected with braces alone. In severe cases it may take more dental intervention. You will probably have to wear metal braces as the clear ones known as Invisalign don't work very well in most overbite cases. You will be able to better clean your teeth once your overbite is corrected and you will also have increased self-confidence as you will like the way your smile looks. I think you might be a teenager and in that case you will have your smile to look at for years to come and it is well worth the investment of a set of braces at this point in your life. This will only change your life for the better. Good luck.

every one is different, but they will probably put braces on your teeth and use rubberbands to correct the problem.

Oh no dont be scared at all! I had the same problem and although braces are not fun an overbite will not take too long to fix. Maybe 6 months to a year. You will not need surgery.

If they catch it early enough, (maybe 13 years old or so), they can use little devices(usually including braces along with other stuff to wear at night) to fix this overbite(depending on the severity). But if you're full grown, surgery will be required. I don't reccomend surgery though unless you look horrible with it. They're going to try to get you to do it. I had the same "problem" but it's not bad at all, and my jaw is fine now and I'm 21 years old.

you shouldnt be scared, you might have braces and the way they fix your overbite is by wearing rubber bands which can be a b**ch cuz they can snap in your mouth and your mouth/jay will be sore cuz they are pulling forward
no big deal i had an overbite due to sucking my thumb its not that bad trust me

Nope! No surgery (relief)....but yes you might get braces depending on how bad your overbite is. Most likely you will have those braces on your teeth pretty soon but trust me it's worth it!! =) good luck!

Well you shouldn't be scared because there are far worse things that could be wrong with you. But they might have to do surgery, they can't fix it with braces unless it is really minor. Braces only fix how straight your teeth are.
