Toothaches are painful but can be prevented
by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating
food which will result in the formation of acid
in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a Fluoride
toothpaste. I found the information at
http://aches.in/preventtoothache.html useful

Try Syndol, really powerful painkiller has codine in it. Anadin does not work...so don't go there. I have already tried and tested it for toothache.

This may sound disgusting, but when living in Nigeria, my filling fell out and had to wait a week b4 i could visit a dentist in Port Harcourt. As well as painkillers the best one to numb the pain was........a Garlic Clove. Just place it on the area and soon the pain goes! Does burn at first, but the pain does go HONEST!

asprin doesn't work.
if you take it through your mouth.
if you have the basic asprin mash it up real good with water until it turns into like a paste
then put it on your tooth, or buy oragel toothpain relievers, or numb the gums and tooth by leaving an ice cube in that part of your mouth.

Orajel at the drugstore or supermarket or Walmart (works for teething babies, too). Tea Tree Oil worked for me. Oil of cloves is supposed to work but I've never been able to find it.

see a dentist as soon as possible - but till then, put a drop of oil of cloves on it, or a drop of Melaleuka oil ( tastes bad, but works). Toothache drops are also available at the drugstore. Don't eat anything really sweet . If it is the gum, not the tooth, use
the stuff for babies that are teething, it numbs the gum.

If you have a hole in your tooth go to the chemist and buy a temperary filling. If you are wondering what the hell a temperary filling is.It is a pink cream that you rub in the hole of your tooth. It is just the same as a real filling but does not last as long .If you have anything other than a hole in your tooth I would say go to the dentist.I hope my answer was of a help to you.If you have any more Q type your Q because I will allways be here.

My grandfather once told me to mix salt with bit of water and use it as a Mouthwash (a 30 second "sloosh" should do). I hope this helps.

Brufen (Ibuprofen) is good because it reduces inflammation and toothache always involves gum inflammation. Oil of cloves is a good antibactrial agent to dab on the area but the best thing of all is to see your dentist and soon! Always take Brufen having had some food or milk as it can cause stomach ulceration.
