The roof of the mouth is called upper palate, you can apply ice on the part or can do ice water gargles which will clot the blood.Otherwise you can apply tincture Benzoin co. swab which is available with most chemists and pharmacies.Hope this will solve your problem, otherwise consult a dental doctor.

Maybe you should go see a doctor? You never know how deep you sliced it open.

If it's still bleeding you need to go to the doctor, there is probably a "walk-in" clinic somewhere near you. I don't think there is much you can do at home to stop it yourself.
Although you might try cracking an egg and peeling out the membrane. Maybe if you are able to place it over the cut it will clot. It works for nicks when you shave!
Swallowing blood is going to make you sick to your stomach. I hope this works out for you soon. Good luck.

A tea bag is your best bet. Moisten the tea bag and apply to the area.
When extractions are done, this is what dentists will have you do to stop bleeding.

i think you should just try and hold the cut together with a tissue and if that doesn't work then see a Doctor but I'm sure the bleeding will stop soon

The best way is to apply pressure and try not to worry because all cuts in the mouth bleed more than cuts elsewhere as the tissue is so sensitive so it might look like loads but it's probably ok and will stop soon. If you are very worried see a medic or call nhs direct.

Go to the doctor/dentist.
You aren't going to bleed to death though. If you are still conscious after 4 hours, you're going to be okay. Cuts heal themselves just keep it clean.
Go tot the doctor/dentist to see if you need stitches. WOW! That must really hurt!!! It will pass though. Keep it clean so that there won't be any infection. Swish with salt water maybe...

Take a tea bag and soak it in hot water then let it cool down a little or just wet it under tap water and hold it to the roof of your mouth. It's bitter but it stops the bleeding.
This really works on all cuts and scrapes especially in the mouth.

You should put pressure on it for about 15 minutes. This may cause some drooling. Try holding a small piece of material on it with your tongue or a finger for 15 minutes and the pressure should stop the bleeding. If its still bleeding but only slightly, reapply pressure for another 15 mins

Get a clean cloth and run it under the tap until it's very cold, then press it to the cut. Keep the pressure up for as long as you can, hopefully it will stop the bleeding. The coldness of the cloth will both ease the pain and reduce the bleeding. If that doesn't work, go to A&E, you may need a small stitch.

ok, the first thing to do is to put an ice cube inside your mouth. roll it around inside for a couple of minutes with your tongue, then rinse your mouth. repeat the same procedure until the bleeding stops. once the bleeding stops, gargle with an anti-bacterial Mouthwash to prevent infection.
