yeah - take pain killers, put something warm on the outside area, e.g. a hot water bottle, (but warm not hot) and sometimes i find a Gentle massage with your fingers helps on your cheek by the tooth or whatever. good luck

1. A tea bag that has been brewed with the excess water squeezed out leave just a little water in it..
(if you can tolerate a bitter taste of non-herbal tea; it will not work if you use any other kind)
2. A plain Aspirin. Let it dissolve over the tooth.
( another bitter taste)
3. Oil of clover. Just drop/ dab will do.
(not as bad as the first two as far a taste)

I agree with two others, the Clove oil. You will probably have to ask for it at the pharmacy, will not usually find it at the spices and herbs. You can apply it using your finger or a qtip. Whatever you do, try not to swallow it as it may cause your belly to feel a bit unsettled. I have used Clove oil several times and it works great.
If you can't find any, use listerine. Hold some in your mouth where the tootache is and the alcahol in it will help numb the pain.

oil of cloves tincture is good, or the alternative drug free, jaw tapping with the tips of the fingers just where your jaw turns up to your ear, about 150 times per minute (not hard). both work well.

nip to the chemist and get some Oil Of Clove and some cotton buds. Rub some on the gum and tooth with the cotton bud. Then try not to touch it for a while. Some uber strength pain killers before hand will help you get through. I have managed two days like this before. Good luck mate.
