Always. Food sitting on teeth for six to eight hours causes cavities. That goes for babies falling asleep with bottles too.

Brush and floss before you go to bed. Then again after breakfast. Your partner will thank you and you will spend less time under the drill at the dentist's.

Hmm..sometimes i'm just too tired too. If nothing else, try a quick swish of water and spit it out (it will get rid of loose food debris that will settle in your mouth overnight) and try to always get in the habit of brushing your teeth when you get up in the morning before you eat-that way you're not swallowing the bacteria that's accumulated in there. Even if you do brush at night, your mouth is usually closed when you sleep-making it a warm, moist place that bacteria thrive on-so it's really important to brush and kill all those germs in the morning when they are most prevalent. One more thing-if you eat a lot of sweet stuff or drink a lot of soda you will need to brush more to protect the enamel of your teeth-as your teeth have no natural defense against the super concentrated sugars and enzymes of the twenty first century. Hope that helps! Take care.

Yes, it's really grody to think of all the food that is decaying in your mouth and the bacteria that is feeing on it. Smile and take a look in your bathroom mirror and see all the white substance by your gumline and in between your teeth and you will see what I am talking about. It's disgusting. Horray for toothbrushes and toothpaste that make your breath smell nice.

YES, 100% brush them, floss them, Mouthwash too. I had the displeasure of getting an infected tooth that lead to an abscess and then a root canal cause it's a front tooth so YES brush your teeth!

Yoooink!
Yes, I floss too, before brushing. Afterward, I swish with listerine or Fluoride rinse.

It's a good habit to get into, and I know it's hard when you're really tired, but you won't have icky-mouth then.

Floss first, then brush. The bacteria in the plaque that's on your teeth will use the food particles, especially carbs, as fuel, then will give off toxins and acids as waste products. This is not what you want sitting on your teeth all nite! You'll end up with cavities and/ or gingivitis. Brushing before bed is the most important time to brush!
