I just received an email from that was an update from John Hopkins who said that all cancer is reversible. When we get cancer it is because of some sort of a deficiencies in our system whether it be nutritionally, physically or some other way. It also gives you things that you should skip out of your diet like milk that creates mucus in your gestational tract and cancer feeds on mucus. And cutting out anything with artificial sweeteners as well as not microwaving anything in plastic bowls. If you would like let me know if you want me to post it on here for you.

right, these people are idiots. if you catch a tumour (the technical name for a cancerous growth.) before it's spread to another part of the body then it can be removed and effectively cured.( you have the same chance of developing cancer in the future as anyone else) generally these include testicular cancer, prostate cancer (for blokes) or breast cancer or ovarian cancer( for women) and many more. there are a couple of weird cancers, cervical cancer (don't worry if you're a bloke!) is caused by a virus but is easily treated (not cured) if caught early (by a smear test). At 15 your main worry in terms of cancer is probably leaukimia or a brain tumour. brain tumours are difficult to remove because it's difficult to only remove the cancerous growth. saying that, my uncle had a tumour removed 10 years ago and he's doing fine.
if you want to reduce yourchances of getting cancer; any cancer, then you should:
1. eat a varied diet with plenty of fruit and veg
2. stop smoking(you're 15 so don't start!)
3. exercise. (an aside... it sounds weird but oxygen is bad for your health!! they aren't called 'antioxidants' for nothing! exercise makes your body need less oxygen overall, thereby decreasing your need for "life-threatening" oxygen. i don't recommend holding your breath for the next 60 years!)
4.drink red wine (in moderation)
you're only 15 as well. i woldn't worry about cancer 4 another 30 years anyway!

There's not really "cures" so to speak, as the success rate in surgeries designated to remove them. Some have a 10% rate (which may mean it has a 10% chance of re-curring or becoming worse, etc.) While others, such as brain cancer, have nearly or have 100% rates, where its nearly impossible to get rid of.

Most cancers are curable if you detect them in early stages, and in more advanced ones it depends on many factors, like the stage of disease, the response to chemotherapy, radiotherapy, if the surgery was correctly done, etc. Some cancers are more agressive than others. But prostate cancer is a slow growing cancer, usually in old males, so usually they die of another cause if it is not too advanced. But, like everything, there are exceptions. I all depends on the timing and the cancer type. You just have to live one day at a time. And there is no specific cure, just prevention, like eating fruits and vegetables, don´t put on a lot of weight, and stay healthy. Don´t work with cancerigenous substances. And for women now they can adquire a vaccine for human papilloma virus, known to cause 95% of cervix cancer.

You need to worry about finding a girlfriend and not about having prostate cancer.

Skin cancers like a simple basal cell have a 95+% cure rate with simple excision. Some types of brain tumor and advanced lung cancer are always fatal. There are hundreds of variabilities in between.

Don't smoke, don't drink alcohol to excess, eat a balanced diet and exercise. After you reach age 40 keep your pipe clean at least monthly to reduce your chances of developing prostate problems.

Now go out and have some fun and check back in about forty years.

It is not prostate cancer that you need to be concerned about at your age . . but you should learn all you can about testicular cancer as this is more common for teens.

There are over 200 different types of cancers and there is no one cure fits all. There is, however, treatment that can lead to individual remissions and eventual 'cure'.

At 15 what you need to be aware of is the types of cancer that can strike your age group . . they are not the same types of cancer that hit older adults. Thus all the media about colon, breast, and lung cancer is aimed at a much older age group. In general older people tend to have cancers that affect body organs such as lung, colon, liver, pancreas . . while, again, in general, teens and young adults tend to have cancers relating to puberty and growth in the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, hormones, or the primitive cells associated with childhood (embryonic).

You should become aware of any lumps or bumps that seem to be growing in the body or on the skin. The following types of cancer are more commonly found in teens and young adults . . learn about these cancers and what to watch for.

1. Leukemia
2. Lymphoma
3. Soft tissue sarcoma
4. Bone cancer - Ewings and Osteosarcoma
5. Neuroblastoma
6. Brain tumor - astrocytomas and ependymomas
7. Skin cancer - melanoma
8. Testicular or ovarian cancer (germ cell cancers)

Cancers do not have any magic cures yet. There are drugs and radiation therapy and surgery which can help a lot for most cancers and many people fully recover from their cancer; but, there is never a guarantee that they will work long term or be cured or stop the cancer from coming back at a later time.
.A healthy lifestyle and a positive mental outlook are two of the most important things for avoiding or recovering from cancer. I work for a drug company and I can tell you that there are several amazing drugs under development that will help a lot of people avoid and recover from many types (but not all) cancers.
However, with any cancer, the sooner it is found and treated then the better the possible outcome, so have regular check ups and see your doctor if you have any concerns.

The difficulty is that there are hundreds of different cancers and no one strategy can prevent them all. They respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them all.

Some cancers can be cured . Cancer Research UK says that 7 out of 10 children are cured of cancer. Testicular cancer, Hodgkin's disease, and many cases of leukaemia can all be cured in adults with chemotherapy, most skin cancers are cured with surgery and many cases of Thyroid cancer and cancer of the larynx are cured with radiotherapy.
·
Many other types of cancer are also cured if they are found early enough - 75% of breast cancers found at stage one for example. There’s a long way to go, especially with some of the commonest types of cancer such as lung, breast, bowel and prostate cancer.
