There are lots of other cancers other than skin cancer, the only one usually associated with the sun. The big problem with living underground would be that humans need the sun to make Vitamin D. Without making enough Vitamin D, which is common in winter because people dont get enough sunlight on the bare skin they get sad and tired. So to live underground people would need sunlamps which would kinda defeat the point.

Yes. There are other types of cancer that are genetic and not caused by the AVB and UVB rays of the sun. Take breast cancer, for example.

Depends how would we live underground? I think it's more than just the sun that causes cancer look at all of our technological advances (cell phones, microwaves, tv's, chemicals going into our meat and farms) etc.

Probably not skin cancer but there are countless types of cancer- they can't possibly all be eradicated simply by moving underground.

Yes. There are lots of different types of cancer, not just skin cancer. Also, some types of skin cancer are unrelated to sun exposure. In addition, there are other sources of UV radiation, like some types of lighting, and other types of radiation that penetrate the ground. You can't be cancer free anywhere.
We need the sun for lots of reasons. The most important one in terms of health is Vitamin D. If we chose to live underground we'd have to take Vitamin D supplements, like they used to have to eat fruit to prevent scurvy from lack of vitamin C while at sea.

cancer is formed from cells that continue to divide uncontrollably and become mutated
so some will get cancer, just not as much skin cancer

I know sun causes skin cancer, but the Vitamin D from the sun actually prevents some. 10-15 minutes a day is ok.

Yes, but probably fewer cases of skin cancer. Other cells are constantly mutating, and this is where cancer occurs.

If you mean skin cancer . . than yes . . absolutely. The sun is only ONE risk factor . . not the only one . . people still get skin cancer in places on their bodies where no sun shines . . like the bottom of their feet. So, yes, people would still get skin cancer.
As for the other 200 different types of cancer . . yes, people would still get cancer no matter what environment they lived in.
