Im a 16 year old girl and I've just found a lump under my hair near the front of my head near a scar I got 5 years ago from splitting my head open. The first day i saw it i thought it was only a spot but the day after its a bit larger and more red it also feels quite weird to touch. I'm worried as my nanny died from a brain tumour and my aunt has one but has to live on pills for the rest of her life to keep it under control. Can anyone help me as I'm really worried about this? Thanks

It's probably just a bit of brain being pushed out.. I would cut it open if i were you , then give it a good squirt. |

it may be just bone maby even a Calcium deposit occurred from the bump you had to your head. i normally go with this saying "A bump on the outside is better than on the inside" but to be on the safe side consult your GP and they will take the correct course of action. |

It could just be a cyst....Can you wobble it slightly under your skin? Have it checked out anyway OK for peace of mind... |

Its most likely nothing! You dont get cancer from a injury you had 5 years ago! |

I have 2 weird feeling cysts on my head. My doctor told me they're harmless and only get removed if they get infected. I've had them for a few years now. I would check it out with your doctor to be sure but I bet that's what it turns out to be. They're very common. |

A brain tumour would be underneath your skull, so being behind all that bone you'd not be able to feel it. It's probably just a boil or a big spot. |

firstly dont worry its highly unlikely to be anything malicious. But go to the doctors for your own peice of mind xxxx |

It isn't a brain tumor. You cannot feel a brain tumor to the touch and you certainly cannot see it.Have your parents examine it and they will determine whether or not you should see a doctor. |
