Nope. I think there will always be a new cancer caused by something else we invented. Not to be morbid but i think we will find better ways to treat it though.

there are so many forms of cancer...ones we tend not to hear about. maybe breast cancer because it's so widely known. we can only hope one day we'll live in a world without cancer. maybe not our children's generation or grandchildren's generation, but hopefully a day will come when children are born into a world where cancer is a rare medical condition, highly treatable and beatable.

OK, there's this movie director named John McTiernan. Watch Medicine Man. I mean this in a friendly way. Sean Connery plays a research scientist trying to cure cancer. Lorraine Bracco is his supervisor. She gives him a really hard time. Sean Connery is really good. Don't watch it with your kids. You can rent this movie, or read about it on-line. You could probably order it too.

Without the side-effect of vampirism.... hopefully.
Honestly I think we'll someday have a cure for all of the known diseases we have today.... but I also believe that, as we cure what we know now, there will always be something worse around the corner. So as horrible I cancer is now, I truly believe that we'll find something worse eventually. And when we find a cure for that, there'll just be something else after.
Until we're all robots. lol

Cancer is when normal cells go haywire and start growing too quickly. The problem in finding a cure has been in telling the difference between those that grow normally and those that don't, and then finding a way in attacking only those that are growing too rapidly.

The problem is, with every cure for any disease we find, new diseases come.
I do hope that we do,someday, but by then, another disease would have come by...

Yes, one day.
But the trouble with finding a cure for cancer is that cancer is hundreds of diseases, not just one. The difficulty is that different cancers are caused by different things, so no one strategy can prevent them, and different cancers respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them all. There will never be a magic Bullet that cures all cancer. But there is much research and dedicated hard work going on in all types of cancer to try and find cures
And some cancers CAN be cured these days:. 7 out of 10 children are cured of cancer. Testicular cancer, Hodgkin's disease, and many cases of leukaemia can all be cured in adults with chemotherapy, most skin cancers are cured with surgery, and many cases of Thyroid cancer and cancer of the larynx are cured with radiotherapy.
Many other types of cancer are also cured if they are found early enough - 75% of breast cancers that are found very early - at stage one - for example. There is still a long way to go, especially with some of the commonest types of cancer such as lung, breast, bowel and prostate cancer.
There is no hidden cancer cure, no conspiracy to hide a cancer cure from us. The conspiracy theory is an urban myth, a sort of game played by those who have not had cancer or close experience of it.
If there were such a conspiracy drug companies would either be keeping quiet about the cure or making no effort to find one even though it would bring them fame and fortune. Any drug company discovering a cure would make far more money than they can have dreamed of making up till now.
And doctors, scientists, researchers etc would be watching their relatives die and dying themselves (they and their families develop cancer at the same rate as the rest of the population) rather than co-operate to find a cure or revealing the existing secret cure
And in order to prove that any secret, hidden cure worked, thousands of people would have to have been cured by it. They’d all be keeping quiet too – not a word to the media from any of them either.
Most unlikely of all, every medical professional in the whole world would have agreed to keep existence of a cure secret. Every single one. One blabbermouth, one disgruntled researcher or sacked nurse and the whole conspiracy’s blown. Newspapers and other media wouldn't have got a sniff of it.
Existing treatments aren't perfect - very far from it. But they are all we have at the moment, and we know, because they have been tested and proven in double-blind clinical trials, that they save many lives and prolong many, many more; in this they differ from any alternative 'treatments'.

One of the theories regarding cancer creation claims that various types of cancer cells are formed all the time, only that the immune system detects them and destroys them before they become a problem. This theory claims that defective immune system is the cause of cancer.
Therefore, if the scientist will be able to correct the immune defect (e.g., via a cancer vaccine) - this will be a cure to all types of cancer.
There are some scientists working are on it - however, the immune system is very complex and not well understood, so unless we are lucky - it may take years to fund the cure.

I have ran across several sites reporting pretty much the same thing, and that is that there are cures for almost all cancers, now and they are being held back , and rejected by pharmaceutical companies because they make to much treating cancer to allow it to be cured
