It depends on how much sleep you are getting now. If you are sleeping too much you might have depression. Guarana, ginko and Ginseng aren't going to address that. You will need to talk to your doctor. Best of luck to you!!

I read of a doctor who wanted to cram 36 hours into his days. According to a the doctor who is an expert on Glutathione (GSH) and wrote the Glutathione Handbook, this doctor boosted his GSH levels and was able to get by on less sleep.
You cannot absorb GSH in the digestive tract. Those pills will be a waste of money. They will break down in the gut and could leave you with some unwanted stones if combined with certain foods.
On the other hand, you can take in the building blocks of GSH to boost your levels.
The one building block lacking in our diet is found in only a few foods. One rich source of this ingredient is found in bonded Whey protein isolate. It has been shown in hospital tests to boost GSH levels which helps your body to deal with stress it could possibly be a healthy way to need less sleep.
Some doctors use it for improving chemo therapy and others use it for detoxifying heavy metal poisoning. And athletes use it for boosting their strength.
It would seem you would also need to take the cofactors that help build GSH. For one, Selenium, you could get your required 200mcg from two Brazil nuts.
Other foods will help with the GSH production like raw Garlic. I think it needs to be chewed to get the best effect. It may cost all but your closest friends to accomplish your goal if you include this.
It will probably take about one to three months to build your levels depending on which foods you choose to use. It could be costly too. As much as $4 to $5 US per day. On the other hand, you would also boost your immunity and improve your over all health and wellness.
Other things that would help… cherry juice concentrate with out any sugar added. A few table spoons in a glass of water an hour before sleep will help you get a better sleep as it is loaded with Melatonin and several phytochemical cofactors.
Best wishes but remember your health is your wealth.

Well, how many hours a day do you sleep. That would be the first thing that needed to be answered. The human body; depending on the age, needs a certain amount of sleep for it to be productive. You can't get an accurate diagnosis and cure w/o the proper info.

Go to a doctor and claim ADHD, you can get Ritalin (methylphenadate), Adderall (dextroamphedamine salt), Dexadrine (dextroamphedamine) or desoxyn (methamphedamine sulfate) and anything prescribed to you is legally yours to take. And all of those deprive you of sleep and make you more alert even if taken as prescribed.

Having spent most of my adult life in college, I would recommend using bottled water mixed with pure protein powder and one caffine pill. There is also a new product on the market called, 5 hour energy - - it's simply massive doses of vitamin C, B12, and B6. Harmless to your body and it really works.
