Why do Asthmatic's have to pay for presciption when people who are diabetic get them for free?

Andrew1968	I completely agree with you , most asthmatics are not smokers and shouldn't be penalised , as you will know asthma kills more people than diabetes in this country so the bigwigs in the country govt should do something about it after all diabetes can also be brought on by various reasons obesity, drinking , cancer ...to name a few Was this answer helpful to you? illyriacity	I agree! I pay a fortune every month, o.k not exactly a fortune but for a student it is. It's not only one inhaler, it's 2 and some pills and then the nebules on top of all that. The only thing i got free was a card to tell people what to do if i stop breathing. D'you know what else is annoying? I got told that if I was having an attack I had to go and get an appointment for the same day at the nurses office at my local gp instead of going to hospital. wtf? Was this answer helpful to you? leowin1948	Some of the drugs/medicines for Asthma are dangerous and contnuous use harmful.It has to be changed periodically,unlike diabetic condition. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
