Fat soluble vitamins A, D and E can be toxic if taken in large excessive amounts.
Minerals that can be toxic if taken in large excessive amounts include Zinc, Selenium, Copper, iron and a few others.
A Yahoo search for "toxic doses" + vitamins (OR minerals) should tell you much more.

{Hyper Vitaminosis} All fat soluble vitamins and heavy metals can harm you in large amounts. Fat soluble vitamins are ADEK. Every nutrient that we eat works synergistically with other nutrients. This means that if you regularly consumer mega does of one vitamin, it can pull other nutrients out of balance, because they work together. Inadvertently, this can deplete the body of certain nutrients. Mega does of most vitamins can cause the same symptoms as the deficiency of that vitamin. For example, Vitamin E is used to prevent thin hair, but if you take a huge amount of Vitamin E, your hair will continue to become thinner.
Medicinal use: mega-Dose nutrients can be used temporarily to treat an imbalance. Fore example, 50mg of Zink can pull out Copper. Iodine in mega does can pull out mercury, bromide and Fluoride, and Selenium can pull out mercury.

I'd be careful about taking anything in mega doses. If you are taking a lot of different medicines, vitamins and minerals, you should be monitored by your doctor at least every 3 months.
For instance Zinc slows down the aging of your eyes, but if you take 80 mg a day you should have 2 mg of Copper or it will run your blood count down. I take vitamins recommended by the doctor for heart, arthritis and eyes. But I alter them as they each have some of the same vitamins in them like Vitamin E.
