I can't use Affrin, but i do use an off brand that is for 12 Hour Relief and it does work. It is just an off brand of a nose Spray but make sure it says "12 Hour Relief." also, try mucinex. It breaks up congestion and will help your sinus's to ease up. i have these problems all the time.

Menthol/Eucalyptus - get yerslef a tea towel big wooden salad bowl boil the billy pour the boiling water then chuck in some oils of that stuff put the tea towel over yer head and breath it for minutes or as long as you can stand it. works. don't use Afrin or that sorta crap...just masks the problem and may cause nasal irritation and nose bleeds. Home remedies sometimes the best and in this case they really are. The rest of the posters here are suggesting drugs which won't do it and cause side effects.

a vic's steamer, good home remedy. but if you need something to take with you, try those Menthol inhalers that will clear the path of your sinuses quickly, if only temporarily.

Naturally you can use a nasal spray called Sinus Buster, which contains cayenne pepper. It burns but only for a few seconds and it works. You can also take anything with guafesin in it to break up the congestion - this takes longer but it does work.

I have been using Sudafed 12 Hour Relief, and it has worked wonders. The equate walmart brand of Sudafed is just as good, and a WHOLE lot cheaper.

if you want a temporary nasal Relief the bes i have used is vicks Sinex spray.
all the nose spays should only be used for a short time, but this one seems to work the best.

Its called Sinu-Fix you get it at your local health food store. Also you might try a homade saline rinse. Just add salt to very warm water and stick your nose in and suck up the water into your nose till it come out your mouth burns like crazy but big chuncks of "stuff will come out of your nose. YUCK!! but it works.

Tylenol Cold and Sinus medication relieves pain and pressure. Normal saline nasal sprays work really well, to Loosen up and de-clog the sinuses.

Are your stuffed sinuses due to a cold or are they due to allergies? If you are stuffy due to allergies, try Claritin D (over the counter). The D stands for Decongestant. If the stuffiness is due to a cold, try a saline solution that sprays into your nose, like Simply saline. It's very safe and it helps lubricate and clear your nasal passages. Also, a hot steam shower works wonders. Lastly, if you gargle with warm, salty water every morning and night while you have a cold, it will help you stay clear and it will help your throat and sinuses to heal more quickly. I teach music classes and sing - so I have to keep my throat healthy. I learned this from experience! Good luck -
