Prevention is key. We have tried "Airborne" with wonderful results. We seldom even get colds anymore, but if symptoms start to show up, we take one tablet in a small amount of water, about every 3 hours or so, and the colds either don't ever really develop, or they are far less severe and last only a few days or so.

my fave is to blend about 8 oranges, 3 lemons, add in a large piece of Ginger, lots of honey (about 6 tbs) 2 cups water and some normal carton orange juice (so its not too thick) it makes quite a lot of juice and its got a kick, but you will feel great after drinking it

In all honesty, get plenty of sleep when you are tired, eat well and drink plenty of water when you are awake. The symptoms of a cold, fever, stuffy/runny nose, watery eyes, cough, sneeze, etc are all there for your protection....
Just like if you sprain your ankle, you get a ton of pain that tells you to not walk on your ankle or you will cause more damage. If you take a pain killer that allows you to walk on your ankle without pain, (sure, you'll feel better)it still causes more damage, prolonging the healing process.
Cold remedies do the same thing. They suppress your body's natural healing defenses prolonging the healing process.
So, when you are awake, keep your energy up by "grazing" all day long on fruits and veggis and drinking plenty of water, at least half your body weight in ounces (also a good excuse to get a five minute break each hour during the work day).
When you get home, get plenty of rest. Your body does about 90% of it's healing when you are asleep.

tea (GNC) they have great ones that will help you feel better...chinese tea is great to but you may not get it were you live i live near nyc...vitams (c and e) important to take both at the same time...rest...i do not like to take drugs so this is what i use...taking bath the steam help...hope you feel better

I use the good old fashion home made chicken soup. I boil my free range chicken. Use the broth, add my Celery, carrotts and Onion - add the shredded chicken and I'm telling you. It ALWAYS makes my colds better. Also, Lemon water and honey is also a great way to get your liquids and rid the body of toxins. I swear by it.
