Parsley, you can eat it or make a tea. Don't use if you are nursing as it will dry up the milk.

Make sure you drink lots of fluids as it can dehydrate you.

Holding water can be a sign you are dehydrated, but the toxins that need to be eliminated are to strong for the kidneys.

water, watermelon.

Water is the best thing to flush out your body. If you are retaining water, drinking a lot of water is the most effective way to flush everything out. The healthiest, too

BUCHU: Buchu is helpful with chronic kidney inflammation. It is considered the best herb for urinary disorders. Buchu is soothing for painful urination, infection, water retention, bladder irritations, nephritis, urethritis and P.M.S. bloating.

Juniper BERRIES: A natural diuretic and antiseptic. It helps conditions such as cystitis, and removal of acid and toxic waste. Juniper helps strengthen digestion and weak stomach. It also helps tone the pancreas.

Dandelion: An effective natural diuretic rich in Potassium and a good source of plant protein. Dandelion root is also beneficial for liver problems, and detoxifies poisons from the liver(cleansing), which is important for proper liver function. Dandelion is high in the natural good salts your body must have for proper function. Dandelion helps to lower high blood pressure.

Uva Ursi: Uva Ursi has a history dating back to China, Europe and the American Indians for treating incontinence, kidney stones and bladder infections while it strengthens the urinary system. It is an excellent antiseptic for kidney and bladder infections and helps balance the PH of urine that is high in acid. It is a tonic for the kidneys, liver and glands.

There are over 300 herbs known as natural diuretics. Some are better for certain conditions, such as Bugleweed to increase the force of the heart or Corn Silk to protect the kidneys if they're inflamed.

But my favorite diuretic is Dandelion Root. It has 3x as much Potassium as most herbs and Potassium loss is always a concern when using diuretics. It is safe, natural and tasty. You can buy it roasted, too, if you prefer a sort of coffee-like flavor.

Some more common diuretic herbs that you might find in your kitchen are Parsley, Celery Seed and Fennel Seed.
