Dressing in layers is a first line of defense to the cold. Eating well balanced and high protein portions is a good idea. Exercising can also help warm you up. It gets the blood flowing.

Bad circulation or low iron.

Phigmentâ„¢ is Back
Yes it could be poor circulation.

Hello. You could have iron poor blood or be anemic. See the link below for Dr. Hulda R. Clark, Ph.D., N.D. who is one of my favorite Natural Doctors to read and learn from her research and information, about staying healthy. (And, by the way she was born and reared in Canada.) I would highly recommend that you get the lastest copy of her book,"The Cure For All Diseases." Good Luck to you and yours.......See the link, below.

I live in Canada too, so I get what you're saying about the freezing winters and blazing summers.

Are your fingers/hands or toes/feet cold? If so, you might just have bad circulation. If you eat healthy, then you aren't lacking vitamins..

I'd say, go ask your doctor on the next check-up and see what he/she says.

I became very cold natured when I lost a lot of weight...and have been so ever since...slow metabolism...could this be an issue for you?

If it concerns you, see your doctor about it....perhaps it can be corrected.

You could be Anemic. People who are Anemic are cold alot. Usually people who are anemic are pale and have a lack of color.

Several valid answers here. Here's another possibility: hypothyroidism. If you have trouble controlling your weight, have dry Skin and hair and are chronically constiptated, this is something to consider. Here's a link with all the symptoms:
http://Thyroid.about.com/cs/hypothyroidism/a/checklist.htm

If you think your Thyroid is underactive, one cause is lack of Iodine in the diet. You can supplement with Kelp tablets. Also the mineral Flouride is known to bind with Iodine and make it unavailable to the body. Avoid flouridated toothpaste and drinking water.

Another possibility is lack of exercise. Try getting 30 to 45 minutes of arobic activity every day and see if your condition doesn't improve.

If you think it may be poor circulation and get some relief from exercise, but not enough, supplement with Ginkgo biloba capsules, known to increase circulation to the extremities (brain, hands, feet).

Could be several things. If you're over 40, it could easily be a vitamin B12 deficiency (though it's possible for someone younger as well), which may create enemia. A b12 deficiency usually requires a monthly shot, or daily oral suppliments. It doesn't matter how good your diet is because it's normally due to an inability to absorb b12 in the diet. Many, many people suffer from this.

On the other hand it could be more serious... something like the onset of diabetes.

So, get yourself checked by a Doctor. You want to know for sure.

You could have low blood pressure or an iron deficiency.....Go see your doctor to get your blood pressure checked and blood taken....
