It dilutes the medicine, so it will probably be less effective. Usually the directions tell you not to eat or drink anything for 30 minutes afterwards.

Next time eat a cracker or something salty to take the taste out. Water will only make it worse.

As long as you didn't drink more than 4 oz of water I don't see any problem. The dilution of the medicine is affected when the addition of water to it it's too much. I wouldn't worry.

drinking a full glass of water will only speed up the digestion of the meds not stop them or alter them.

Yes it will, in fact, most medicines should not be taken on an empty stomach. Some can give you ulcers.

The medicines will actually be at their BEST since you drank water, especially if you drank at least 8 ounces, up to 24 ounces. Water helps get the 'drugs' into your blood stream faster, and it also helps the medicine 'disseminate' better ... and you are correct, most liquids are gross ... maybe so people will grab for a glass of water and drink it down ... because drinking water ALWAYS makes the medicine work better and faster.

If you took the right amount I don't think the water will make a difference.

they will be just as effective... if stomache acid can't dilute their potency, then water can't either.
