Yes hello and thank you for reading my question.
I have never consumed alcohol (only a little bit years ago and never to the extent of drunkeness) nor have I smoked marijuana.
However I do know that people who get drunk get a hangover the next day.
Unfortunately, what with the extremely stupid and destructive "war on drugs" it is hard to get real facts on marijuana.
My question to you then is this: after smoking a joint and then getting high is there something like a "hangover" or not?
All answers would be appreciated...thanks again.

mairjuanna causes schitzoprenia, paranoia and suicidual tendencies...go visit a mental ward at your local hospital and ask them. There is heavy chemicals used on the plant to reduce insects, this is not monitored by any government, therefore you are injesting highly toxic poisions. Depending on where it is from, you could get serious long toxic term deposit in your body, specifically the kidney and liver. In addition, even if it is home grown by you, you are depositing toxic chemicals into your system that your system cannot get rid of...in order to protect your organs the body first stores it in fat cells, then it filters it through your bloodstream -until it reaches your liver...most of it ends up stored in this and other organs and only a small amount is eliminated. Your brain cells are killed and warped by this substance and any toxic repellants, you begin to have greater problems when you are not directly taking it in your vision, balance speech, hallucinations and paranoid thoughts...it happens slowly so you don't notice how weird you are getting. . Get off it and get a herbal detox, take it every four or five months for about four years, and be grateful you woke up to the truth of this harmful, horrible, and mind-bending drug. And be grateful that we have a smart enough society that this is illegal. |

Besides legally The following are some of the common side effects of using marijuana: Trouble remembering things Sleepiness Anxiety Paranoia (feeling that people are “out to get you”) Altered time perception The following are some of the common physical effects of marijuana: Tremors (shaking) Nausea Headache Coordination becoming worse Breathing problems Increased appetite Reduced blood flow to the brain Changes in the reproductive organs Like tobacco, marijuana contains many chemicals that can hurt the lungs and cause cancer. One marijuana cigarette can cause more damage to the lungs than many tobacco cigarettes because marijuana has more tar in it and is usually smoked without filters. |

You can get arrested. It is addictive and you could lose your short term memory and sex drive during the period that you are hooked. |

not really after one joint. it takes alot to get a hangover and you can get sick from it and loose equalibrium. It has a "tar" like other smokes and thus will start to fill you lungs in like any smokes. It is a medicinal herb and should be treated only as such. |

Cannabis is a tricky substance to deal with. It does have a hangover effect, but most people don't feel it's strong enough to be called a hangover. It will make your mind think less clearly for a few days up to a week when the drug leaves your system completely. For more information I recommend the following source. It is the best site I know where to get facts. |

Not like with alcohol, but you will kill brain cells, lose short term memory, damage your lungs & increase your chances of lung cancer, emphysema, etc. You may also gain weight from the munchie binge! |
