Go to your local book store and buy a diabetic food& porcines book. cut your meat in take to 3 ounces per meal.
breakfast, lunch, and dinner. cut down the breads, cut down
on oils, butter& margern.
this should help. or you can get in touch with the local
diabetic found daction, they can teach you how to cook for life.and exercise at least 30 minutes three days a week.
bikeing,walking,or a exercisebike at home.
also you want to get a exchange book. it will show you how
to maby have 2 slices of pizza, it will tell you what to give up so you can have the pizza, or hotdog or what ever.

eat alot of cinammon...it's best to take it in pill form...i make my own I buy the empty capsults from the health food store and buy the cinammon from the bulk section take about 4 a day they are all natural and will not hurt you , you can't O.D... walk at least 30 minutes a day you can do it all at once or a little throught out the day... one more eating tip at your last meal eat a good serving or protin that will keep you stable through the night...my favorite it a serving of peanut butter...if you want to work hard you can beat this, I am!!!

World may tell you to restrict foods of various types. But fruits and veggies, as long as they are natural, never worry that they will cause your sugar to increase.

A simple crush or chutney of 21 leaves of each Tulsi, Neem and Bel (all indian herbs) once a day will take care of First stage diabetes (fasting sugar upto 160 mg/dl). Diabetes is curable. Medicine can be discontinued, depending on age, and state of patient.

Increase consumption of fats/oils/proteins. Eat only natural carbs/sugars-no processed foods or refined sugars like cereal, other sweets.

I am presuming from some of the answers many people have no idea about diabetes well I am a diet controlled diabetic and I always say everything in moderation and plenty of fresh air and at least 5-6 large glasses of water everyday, and cut back on your fried food and soft drink and eat lots or fresh vegies and a large variety of fruit everyday and if your into juicing your own drinks try some tasty carrot Celery tomatoes and Parsley that is just so good for a snack and you get a great helping of veg and fruit in one hit,and don't forget atleast 1 hour of exercises each day doesn't matter if its walking jogging swimming even dancing it all counts

"Diabetes is typically diagnosed when fasting blood glucose levels are 126 mg/dl or higher."

Note: mg/dL = milligrams per deciliter. To convert from mmol/L, multiply by 18.

Your fasting blood sugar level is around 129 mg/dl, so you must see a doctor as soon as possible or you risk going into a coma at some point.

My daughter, aged 21, had a health check before she spent a year abroad. The doctor nearly fell over when he saw her sugar level! She had had none of the classic symptoms of diabetes, yet her sugar level was such that she should have been in a coma!

She was very glad she saw the doctor when she did and is now coping well with an insulin and diet routine. I can't say she exactly loves it, but she has taken it on board.

This should quell any worries you have about being diabetic.

if you are non diabetic you do not want to lower your blood level too much or you will crash and get sick. what is your purpose? too low is not good and in fact very unhealthy and promotes ketoasisdosis which is when your organs live off of each other...not good.

Diet, exercise you have to stick on. Avoid stress both for the body and mind.
