Go back to your doctor and ask him/her.
If you can't be careful with nasal steroids, then don't take them. Find an alternative.
Side effects of steroids do in-fact cause major mood swings and the like.

you need to see another doctor and get some help as soon as possible, because that's not really good and this could make you feel very weak, some people especially boys after taking steroids in the future they don't have babies. But I'm really not sure. I'm still in college and I'm going to go to med-school, but you need to see a doctor as soon as possible if your tongue gets more purple and your jaw hurts more then go to the emergency room. DON'T WAIT GO TO A DOCTOR ASAP.

He sounds like a 'quack' rather than a decent doc.
Always get a second, third or 'forth' opinion. ;o)

Sounds like you have a case of the oompa-loompa, soon you'll begin to turn orange, your hair green... Your tongue has already started...
On a more serious note, get to a doctor FAST, medical professionals can only help with this sort of thing!

Your overreacting. You probably just tricked yourself into thinking that. The symptoms you described are long term usage affects.

The side effects you describe will not be caused by nasal steroids. These are mild drugs, mainly topically active and could not possibly be responsible for mood swings. Your symptoms must be caused by something else, go discuss them with your GP.
