Your body takes time to heal. The pain is your body's way of saying "hey, something is wrong". A lot of the healing process depends on your diet, lifestyle.
A "medicine" may take away the pain, allow you to go back to work BUT you run the risk of injuring yourself further if you don't feel the pain.
I am a massage therapist for a chiropractor and an M.D. We see a LOT of auto injuries and workplace injuries. I see so many people who feel forced to go back to work by their employer and they come back a few weeks later "why am I in pain again?" Or they come in, get a prescription for pain meds, then go on doing what they were doing and in a few weeks, they need a stronger prescription because "it doesn't work anymore".
Back injuries are the worst because the nerve supply for your entire body stems out of the spinal cord, through the vertebrae.
You can take supplements to help the damaged tissue heal stronger but there isn't anything to make it heal faster.
As I said before, pain medicine may make you "feel" better but be careful, you could end up worse than before.
Alternating heat and ice to the affected area, see a chiropractor, get some physical therapy. Only use pain meds to help you get a good nights sleep. A lot of the healing depends on your age too, the older we get, the longer it takes the body to heal.

hi,
Taking pain killers to relief from your back is not your right decision. Pain killers have great side effects. Avoid taking pain killers if the pain is not severe. Home remedies are safe and secure for your future health too. Some effective home remedies for back pain are:
* Raw potato is an ancient home remedy for backache, Application of raw potato in the form of a poultice has been found very effective in this condition.
* Massage with Eucalyptus oil is also very effective remedy, mustard oil can also be used.
* Take half a gram of dalchini powder with one-teaspoon honey at least twice a day for best results.
* Oil prepared from Garlic and rubbed on the back will give immediate relief.
Good Day !!
Maria
