crash	I think it should be regulated like alcohol...But ONLY as far as laws for things you can or cannot do while stoned. Weed is not a gateway drug. I smoked for quite some time...and never went to other drugs. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

girlieguru	Marijuana should be legal. It has medicinal uses that are far safer than the chemicals people pump into their bodies from prescription drugs. I'd much rather share the roads with a stoned person than a drunk person. By the way a rapid marijuana road test is out there and will be coming to a city near you soon so remove your Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead bumper stickers because THC stays in your system a lot longer than alcohol. KitKat	Good point but you even if your stoned out of your mind can still operate better than when you are completely tanked. I do however think if you get pulled over for it the same fines and such should be administered as if you were drinking. However, there is no way thus far that the cops can calculate how stoned you are to give you a ticket, which is probably why its not legal. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

dave	couldnt agree more but there gunna want to control it tax it befor its made legal. i wish they would let me grow in my own back yard i wont hurt anyone doing it. and i wont be making some drug dealer rich we need to get our polititions stoned so they can see there is nothing wrong with it. tests were done on the toilets in parlement house traces of dope were found there and if its right under there nose and they dont see it how are they ever gunna get rid of it. chasing it is just one big waste of tax payers dollars that could be going to health and hospitals Was this answer helpful to you? onelnthemorning	Why not make money on the stuff instead of spending millions os dollars in court fees and incarceration? Option 1: Keep the drug illegal but instead of putting people in jail or giving them jail time, write them a ticket! Make $85-150 on a possession offense (depending on the amount) and keep non-violent criminals out of the jail system. Option 2: Make it legal. Do you have any idea how much money is to be made in excise tax!? Lets say that an ounce of marijuana costs $5 to produce which is an overshot taking all factors into consideration. The tobacco company sells it at a base price of $50 (a 900% profit) and the government places a $50 excise tax on the product keeping store prices around the same as street value of roughly $100 per ounce. Specialty grades can still be sold at street value and companies and the government will make even more money. chattterus	I think I would be for arresting anyone that tries to grow their own. Rather there needs to be a control over how much people are allowed to smoke. The reason I say that is because there are severe addictions, mental problems, and a few other health problems that marijuana can cause if you are able to smoke too much of it on a regular basis. But as far as a minor causual use gotton from strictly controlled sources, that is another issue entirely. That approach could easily reduce the current severe abuse of marijuana where outright legalization or outlawing can't. Therefore reducing the problems that come from severe abuse. Also legalizing marijuana would remove the bars from Industrial Hemp. We are the only country that doesn't have Indutrial Hemp production. Industrial hemp could replace wood in paper product production and be a tool in reducing the amount of forests that are cut down. It's most common use is clothing and textiles.
