yes we used to use just water and use a tube attatched to a kind of hot water bottle, and you use gravity, we use it when ill and constipated as it can break a fever, i would not use anything but water and use no force and if it feels uncomfotable just stop have a wiggle and go to the loo. all the best

Yes, in olden times, an enema was made by heating a mild soap in water and make a solution. This soap solution was then placed in an elongated enamle-container with a rubber tube and a nozzle with a tap on it. The nozzle was then introduced into the anal opening and the tap allows the soap water to go into the colon. This enema was considered to be very good. Now you dont do it because the soaps available are very harsh for the colon. Instead use OTC enemas. Dont ever go into making home made enemas.

Yep the is such a thing as a home made enema... But cant be quite risky doin it yourself.... Infection is the main problem and you need to have the liquid etc.... at the right temperature and righ tformula because for 1 you dont want to burn ya *** and the other you would be forever blowing bubbles every time yee farted.. lol!

The response from Anna was pretty close... except you would drink the prune juice. Sometimes a warm water enema will work, or just go to a drug store and buy a fleet enema. It will have the correct ingredients you need for a laxative. Lay down on your side, insert the tube and let it emtpy. Wait about 5 minutes and it should work fine.

Yes. But people can do themselves great harm because any chemical can be absorbed into the bloodstream from the colon. It wasn't that long ago that some nut killed them self accidentally by using a coffee enema.
