danerlu2	I can't state anything scientifically. However, I remember having the same issue as a child. We had to get a special prescription ointment (which back then was probably Benadryl cream). I have tried Benadryl cream, Cortisone cream, gold bond ointmentand and have found nothing that works any length of time for the itching. I did hear recently one of the B vitamins can help reduce itching and swelling of mosquito stings, but can't remember which one.... B12 I think. bezeel	GARLIC!!!!! eat a small Clove of Garlic and that should keep alll biting bugs away...most anti- bug sprays have a chemical called DEET which simply makes the user invisible to the bugs. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

kitt	Actually yes. He might have that "sweet blood". Some people attract mosquito's more than others. I just happen to be one of those people. Why can't you use repellent on him? hans	garlic pills do sound like a good idea cuz its nasty smelling.but if you want to go Garlic try the real thing pills are kinda on my dog house list. but you may want to consider what he is already eating. i know that bananas attract bugs to you when you eat them. or even try to use unscented lotions and soaps on him that may help as well. bug repellent really does not work in my opinion. trust me im a camper and Ive come back just this Monday from a 7 day camping trip with only 2 bites while others that used stuff got mauled. at the end its up to you Was this answer helpful to you? emm	he's gonna whine, because he's a kid -- but consider modifying his diet to eliminate white grains, white SUGAR especially, candies, all junk food. make him eat more vegetables, fruits, WHOLE grains like brown rice. acidic blood pH is like honing radar for the little buggers -- and all the junky stuff contributes to it. if you eat healthier food, your blood will become more alkaline, which will be a natural detterrent. you can also make a nicer smelling , less obnoxious repellant by buying some citronella essential oil, and buying a little mister glass bottle thinger, and mixing it with water, and using it kind of like body mist or perfume. deet isn't so great for the body. then, some people are just blessed with fresh meat skin, and honestly, i can only tell ya what worked for a friend of mine, who used to get bitten all the time Was this answer helpful to you? Now that also keeps the other people away and I have plenty of room on public transport, but thats ok with me... victoria99982000	Tell me about it, My daughter and I went camping this past weekend and I put Bug Repelant on her but stung her face area and now her face swelled it scared me because I thought maybe she got bit by somthing else I took her to the doctor and they said everything was ok the drainage from the mosqitoes lead to her face to swell up and advise me to put Benedry not sure how u spell it but there is a cream and it protects the skin from insects which was good. schmushe	you can buy wrist bands for kids to protect against insects, they are around £2.00 and unfortunetly only last a week once opened - however I found them a godsend when my son was younger - he was alawys getting bitten. keep your children inside after around 6p.m, and if they are outside you can buy candles / lights that you put on to keep bugs at bay. Joyce D	My son and I suffer the same. The bites last forever. I noticed when I used Avon Skin So Soft in a bath the nasty critters would leave me alone when I went outside later. So I started applying the bath oil straight to my arms and legs and finally to my son under protest/he did not want to smell like a girl. It has worked for us, but get the original scent. Carrot to the max	I hear they are attracted to pottasium in your blood, so whoever said eat bananas is crazy. And the same thing happened to my little sister a while back and she was on antibiotics and stuff. That really was terrible but good that she found out when she was young that she can't get bit. KAY .	Not really. You must use a bug repelent. Mosquitos are attracted to your skin when you sweat, that doesn't mean STOP SWEATING; it just means that you must try to stay dry or use something that will fight against them. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
