Try Chamomile tea. You can get it in the tea section of the supermarket. It relaxes your body and mind. A warm bath and elevating the legs will help as well.

I was told that large doses of Calcium just before your period starts would help with the cramps. Don't know if it works, cause I'm not past that stage in my life! Yippee!!

I don't know about herbal remedies, but I have used the Thermacare patches and they have worked great for me. If you get the ones for back pain they wrap right around and velcro on. They aren't bulky, so you can't see them under your clothing and they stay warm for hours (I think they say up to 12 hours, but they have lasted even longer for me).

herbalist ill find a cure it may be from poor circulation in that case have small doses of Ginger to cure it, if not then use Lavender or Ginger Oil on the cramps (also sodium and Calcium can imbalance ph levels so try fruits to balance your ph levels) also personally let me know if it is internal or external

Menstrual cramps?
Yes. Make the following tea: Boil a stick of Cinnamon in water (2 minutes) and add some chamomille. It does wonders for many women.
Having an orgasm helps too.

East Indian Valerian Root from the Healthfood Store. It's Mother Nature's Muscle Relaxer. I've used it for years. It relaxes all of the large muscles and gives a relaxed feeling. It is also used as s sleep Aid taken one hour before bedtime, works for most people. It will make you drowsy until your body aclimates to it, so be advised, don't do any driving or hazardous work until you are aclimated.

Moisten a towel and put it in a plastic bag..throw it in the microwave and heat it but be careful not to burn yourself. It will act like a heating pad and relax the muscles in about 20 minutes.

I assume you mean menstrual cramps, but if not, part of this answer is relevant to other cramps too.
Magnesium, crampbark (Viburnum opulus), (for all types of cramping) and liver remedies such as dandelion Root, Milk Thistle, globe Artichoke (for menstrual cramps).
Reduce meat and dairy consumption.
Bellydancing can help if you like that sort of thing.
Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) helps some women, but usually takes a few months, whereas Magnesium usually kicks in straight away.
Soak a cloth in hot castor Oil or linseed/flaxseed Oil and apply to belly to relieve pain (cover with plastic to avoid mess)
Wishing you a cramp free future
