I believe there are medicinal reasons, there is actually a synthetic form of it that is used my doctors called Marinol. They use it alot in the elderly to help them increase their appetite when they are not eating.

marijuana does indeed have actual medical uses. It can be used to treat chronic pain and to help increase appitite.
It is not just a single drug that does these things, The plant actually produces a couple of different ingredients that are useful for many different health issues.
Most of these issues can be treated almost as effectively or as effectively with other drugs, but for people who can not use the other drugs marijuana can be a useful treatment.

i was going to aa and lots of times i have bad meetings but some are swell comeing back on my bike from one i got struck by a car and what would you do take there dangerous drugs with 3 pages of side effects and noing that a doctor might not be really helping you and took a cruise vacation put on by those pharm companys would you take the referal of one of there buddies and go to someone who can take hamburger back into a cow and still have pain after there mutiple cut and paste or would you trust the validity of whity making stuff illegal because of there intolerance of poor people indians and people of a minority group and if you dont belive me look it up its been 4 years and losts of the the time im in great pain and smoking is bad for you so what would you do it is horible for me to say that stuff and is a child a criminal if they have to git street marijuana that may not be safe if there mom has cancer and it might ease some pain you keep scratching your head but i know what im going to do and the stuff is illegal cause some fat dude said so git real if it works for you do it if it dont dont do it all herbs are strong freedom of religion and spritual experiance i cant tell you that you will not see coicidence or the sprit at work whats better nurses railing you with nails with hole in them or some krap being illegal so a mob of officers and dogs and crazy guns coming in all barking at you some people have died over sugar look it up for yourself all plants of the earth make your own informed choice

It can be good for medicine. It is a good pain killer and can help you relax. The real question is who smokes it that actually needs it? Not many. I dont know anyone who smokes for medical reasons. I did for a few months and actually had my doctors ok. But only was allowed a few hits a day.
Yes I know from experience I have smoked it and know many many others that smoke it.
I had cronic pain for years and when I told my doctor I was smoking it and it helped, he said "well it is illegal here so I will pretend that you didnt tell me that, but if it helps it helps. Just a few hits a day ok. No more than that."

Yes, it can be used for medicinal purposes. Cancer is probably number one. I also know someone who has a prescription for it (from California). He can't gain weight and was prescribed it so he was able to eat more.

In third world countries it is used for medicine purpose with good results. If u misuse like u misuse everything God has given that surely it will do more harm than good.esults are all b4u.

Marajuana has been used by some cancer patients while receiveing Chemotherapy. Because the Chemo can cause nausea & vomiting and decreased appitite. The marajuana may counter act that by giving some patients increased appitite " The munchies". But it doesn't help everyone.

Yes, it possesses a mechanism to lower the intraocular (fluid in the eye) pressure in patients w / glaucoma and has been effective in aleviating nausea and other GI side effects in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy treatment. IT is not approved for legal use as and IS NOT A PAINKILLER or used to "calm down" people who are anxious..
