sapphire_630	You can take it but ask the doctor if it would interfere with any medicines you take. Take calcium Citrate and take Magnesium and vitamin D3 so you don't end up with spurs or stones. Sudhakar B	Ofcourse it is okay to take Calcium supplements even without the doctor's prescription but why go for supplement and enrich the drug companies. Go natural. Consuming daily one glass of fresh orange juice would give you natural Calcium. Alternatively you could also consume seasame/gingelly seeds. The dose is soak one teaspoonful of seeds in water the previous day and consume next day in the morning after throwing away the water.
