Is Marijuan detectable in hand-baggage at the airport?

Is marijuana detectable at the security point at airports if you carry it in your hand baggage?...

Angelic	If you don't have it hidden well enough or if the package is suspicious they will detect it in the x-ray. And you're totally screwed if they have a drug sniffing dog.
fatboycool	Dogs can sniff it out. Also, the bag will be searched anyway. You would be stupid to try it, frankly. You have no idea of the control freaks who are running the govt now.

Patrick W	Ummm, probably if K-9's are checking, but I've NEVER, EVER been caught and have done it numerous times. I used to carry it on my person previous 9-11 but have since resorted to hiding it in my luggage. I've flown all over the continental U.S. as well as to HI from FL so I have much experience. And you need to do more than just put it in a pocket, they do randomly check the bags, but mainly for explosives, not drugs. And for the morons who truly think they have dogs back there sniffing every single bag....have you ever flown before???

drysac	You'll probably get alot of 'yes, no, and questionable' answers, but do you really want to risk that (especially an airport)? Security also has a right to look into your carryon.
sellasell	just do what we all do and put em in uninflated balloons and sink to the bottom of a shampoo bottle. ( i guess u wouldnt be able to carry it on then tho)

gawainer	Yes. It can be detected where it used to be, even as much as two weeks ago. Don't even try it. Don't try to put it in the luggage either, as they use dogs to sniff for it. The penalties are terrible as well.
