I found a pink pill in my home with 3 X's on one side and nothing on the other. Any ideas what it might be?

Brandon F	What shape is the pill? Circular or oblong? Is the pill starchy or shiny? Most over-the-counter generic drugs identify themselves with a drug code, although this isn't always the case. Herbal supplements are the worst about that, since they are completely unregulated. That's more than likely what you have. There are thousands of supplements "for women" that are supposed to increase sex drive, etc. The pink color makes me think that's the most likely scenario. Like I said, however, unless the maker brands their product uniquely it's pretty tough to figure out who created it. The other main possibility is that you have found extasy or some other illegal drug made by an unlicensed pharmacist. That's the more likely scenario if the pill is starchy rather than shiny -- and it's probably 99% for sure if the "XXX" is not imprinted neatly and clearly, without the look of a precise machine stamp. Even the generic drug and supplement makers usually stamp out nice, neat pills. Either way, I recommend you do not handle the pill without hand protection (some drugs will absorb right into your skin from a pill, especially the shiny-yet-starchy variety). Latex gloves are a must in case the pill contains hallucinogens or amphetamines, both of which can cause permanent brain damage. If you're suspicious about that pill and concerned about drugs in your house, I suggest asking a local diagnostic laboratory if they can test the pill for illegal susbtances. The test will probably cost about $75-100. Knowing what's in that pill, you can then look out for the signs of abuse from people in your house, or who might have visited. Smiley	Sounds like you found an ecstasy pill. AKA MDMA- Go to http://www.ecstasydata.org/, and see if you can identify the pill. This webpage has pages upon pages of pictures of the pills. There are also at home testing kits to test for the drug MDMA, which is the main ingredient in Ecstasy.
