people that take drugs are losers, so you could say, that drugs make you turn into a loser. but yeah, in all honestly, drugs will effect you badly all parts of your body, and I mean everything, and you'll be risking death everytime you take them. |

Cannabis sativa has the terrible effect of causing people to eschew the Republican Party and the Satanic principles it lives by. Seriously, Cannabis, used in moderation at appropriate times in appropriate settings, even long-term, has no known detrimental effects. |

Long term users can get quite withdrawn and tend to hang around in the same clique of smokers. also your memory and IQ can be damaged/lessened compared to non smokers. they are also more likely to have developed poor dietary habits over the long term with the health risks that that entails. |

If you smoke it all the time you will be a real mess, your brain will turn to Jell-o and you will not have a memory. But if your consumption is moderate and there is no tobacco involved there will be no (or hardly any) deletirous effects over a long time. As to whether it causes mental illness or not, there is a very small minority of 13-16 year olds who smoke it continually who will develop psychotic illness. This stops when not taking Cannabis, it is only temporary. Unfortunatly, a lot of dope smokers take other drugs as well, so in the field studies are rather flawed. To precis, The long term moderate use of Cannabis has no bad effects at all. |

The habitual users I have know made some of the stupidest mistakes. I would think of them as not the brightest bulbs in the marque. Now that may be all some people are even with out using - but it is a shame to see some one get foggy. No different then the drunk - after a while even if they are sober they just aren't cutting it. |

If you mean, "how does that happen?", I believe the answer has to do with oils that become absorbed in fat receptors. I don't fully understand what fat receptors are, but according to the book End Your Addiction Now, which describes nutritional approaches to rehab, it is possible to accelerate detox and cravings for THC by supplementing with omega 3,6,and 9 fatty acids. It is generally agreed to take about six weeks to detox from casual use. If you mean what are the effects, the first answer was really good. |

If they mix with tobacco then they are at increased risk of tobacco related illnesses. There is also now a significant amount of evidence that prolonged use of Cannabis changes personality and increases paranoia. Cannabis smokers are twelve times more likely to develop schizophrenia than non smokers |
