Niacin reduces LDL & raises HDL. But be aware that taking too much will cause skin flushing.
Most importantly diet - once the cholesterol is in you, it is all but impossible to lower without medication. Our bodies are very, very good at reabsorbing cholesterol, so the only "natural" way to prevent high cholesterol is to maintain a low cholesterol diet.

Recently there was a discovery of a plant that contains an adaptogen which goes to work on auto-immune deficiencies. It also contains 4 Polysaccharides. Bioactive polysaccharides are a family of complex carbohydrates that are bound to proteins.
There are many types of bioactive polysaccharides and they all seem to differ in their properties, health benefits and degrees of activity.
Top 10 benefits of polsaccharides
1) Inhibit tumor growth
2) Prevent Cancer
3) Neutralize the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation
4) Help normalize blood pressure
5) Help balance blood sugar
6) Combat autoimmune disease
7) Act as an anti-inflammatory
8) Balance immune function
9) Lower cholesterol and blood lipids
10) Increase Calcium absorption

This is only my opinion, but it makes sense to me to stop eating cholesterol or reduce it at least. I've been a mostly-vegetarian for a year and I'm finding it a very healthy lifestyle- eating beans (Soy products, curries, etc), nuts, grains, and milk for protein instead of flesh from dead, miserable animals. Since our bodies produce all the cholesterol we need naturally, there's no point adding more to our diets.

A moderate diet, usually high in fiber along with exercise can help control cholesterol. Such diets are listed in many places over the web.
In addition, I personally took part in the Quaker Oats Challenge a few years back, completely convinced that their claim that a diet of their oatmeal would lower cholesterol would be nonsense. After one month, I discovered I was wrong. My cholesterol dropped 28 points in one month simply by eating a bowl of oatmeal in the morning. It does not, however, continue to diminish at that rate each month but it does seem to help.
One product which has been effective in lowering cholesterol is Red Yeast Rice, available at health food stores. I use it myself and have experienced good results. I strongly recommend it.
I feel that many of the drugs advertised on TV are nothing short of poison. Most of them are statins and you can see documented evidence of their effects elsewhere on the web.
Lastly there are those who suspect that much of the focus on cholesterol is specious. I leave that subject up in the air, but it appears that a high percentage of people who suffer heart attacks have relatively normal cholesterol levels. It would appear that stress is the real culprit in this.

My father started adding Garlic pills to his daily regimine...and he swears that they cured every cholesterol problem he had. In addition to exercise, proper nutrition, and regular check-ups with your doctor...I think you would be straight.
I am by NO MEANS a doctor....maybe u should go ask one (eh...they;re working with the medical companies, trying to suck money out of your wallet in healthcare). Try the library for some books!
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Stop Drinking Milk, Eating Wheat, and Ingesting Hydrogenated Oil. These 3 things create inflammation, and the body responds to inflammation by producing cholesterol. We like to blame the "firefighter" for the fire, but the truth is that cholesterol is not the cause of heart attack, or cardiovascular disease. It is only doing its job, and in some cases will actually lower the risk of cancer and stroke the HIGHER it is!
Nonetheless, if you are being faced with a non-choice between a statin like crestor and a statin like Lipitor, choose neither and take Red Yeast Rice. This is the stuff that started it all and is incredibly safe and clinically proven. Its not patentable, of course, so your doctor and the drug companies that own him or her, aren't tellin'.

There are many ways to get there and of course no one pill fits all are appropriate.
One of the most effective cholesterol natural remedy is: Linen seeds... You crush them and just add some to you current meals..
The other is food combination ( you should find proper guidelines on the internet)
And the main thing is CHANGE YOU LIFESTYLE... and that one is usually the less attractive one for the majority!!!
